wow, it’s bean a while since I’ve had a reason to get up in the morning. I can’t espress in words just how gr888 the coffee is here. Finally, a flat white I can sipathise with! the service was really outstanding too, and when I asked how the barista was doing, she slyly responded: “better now that you’re here”. Idk i thought that was cute lmao 🙊 I think her name was Kat, she rocked. There was also a tall guy who’s name I didn’t catch, but who made me feel safe cuz he was wearing a mask. respect!

later when i returned home, i found myself humming this tune:

“ yum yum yum, coffee bean, best dang cofee I ever seen, ever tasted, ever knew, Detour cafe, i love you.”

What a lovely surprise! Paris, Ontario is a lovely town. I was craving a "proper" coffee ( without sounding too snobbish! ) and found this little place. The worker - sorry I can't remember his name, was professional, knows his stuff and you could see he is passionate about what he does. I've worked as a Barista before, so I know a thing or two about coffee. He made a great Cappuccino! You get the feeling that you are not just a number, but they actually care. Detour Café at the Wincey Mill is an absolute gem! The staff is always super friendly and welcoming, making every visit a pleasant experience. Their coffee is consistently delicious, and I particularly love my latte with oat milk – it's always perfectly crafted and never disappoints. As someone who is gluten and chocolate free, I do wish they had a few more treat options that cater to these dietary needs, as I'd love to pair my coffee with something sweet.
