Western Meats & Deli Hamilton 고기 — Attraction in Ontario

This is a review of their food truck only. And to be clear any geographical based foods ARE NOT AUTHENTIC. If looking for a true shawarma, gyro or Philly cheesesteak and that is your only criteria looking. If you want delicious come here.

We went here last Friday after driving past it and always seeing people lined up here

We now understand why they line up

We were a bit nervous as the prices seemed on the high side with sandwiches and burgers costing 11-15 dollars or so

This one of the few times you get what you pay for.

As indicated above we ordered the philly sandwich and the shawarma. The server was incredibly helpful and told us everything was made fresh except the gyro and onion rings. When we couldn’t decide on chicken or beef she said she could give us both and offered to cut it for us to share. This was much appreciated.

Again, the cheesesteak was not authentic in that it was a thin piece of steak (skirt or flank?) grilled with the toppings of your choice (no processed American cheese here, thank god) . Sharing this would have been enough for us. It was just a good steak sandwich

The shawarma wasn’t a true one. But the portion size was huge and it contained large chunks of fresh grilled steak and chicken. It was triple the size of any stuffed pita you can get anywhere else. The meat was charred nicely and it just worked well

The meat is clearly from the butchers shop inside. It tasted fresh

Went in was going to buy steak changed my mind and bought the chicken breast pack instead, I truly wish I went with the steak now. The chicken was a bit slimey yellow ish looking . As a person who never bought from a butcher I thought maybe that’s what healthy chicken looks like cause I’ve always shopped at grocery stores. that was not the case when I went home I was so happy that I finally went to a butchers and it was my first and last time going to a butcher. The meat was old, sour smelling and slimey to the point where you knew something was wrong. Just a complete waste of money. If it was rough or just not good meat I wouldn’t have gave a one star but for it being old lmao common that is worse then no frills. But 10x the price. Very...

This is a review for the food stand outside the shop.

I ordered a Philly cheesesteak and I received steak on a bun with Philly cheesesteak toppings. Very disappointing and difficult to eat a whole uncut steak, and not at all what you expect when you order a Philly cheesesteak.

Person with me ordered the footlong hotdog and fries which were very good. Fries super fresh but could've been cooked a little longer.

Reason for the poor rating in addition to the disappointing sandwich is the service. They were extremely rude and, I think the best word would be, cranky. Made us feel bad for being customers, like we were a bother simply...
