AMAZING EXPERIENCE.
I got a free Strawberry Shortcake which tasted so great. I also got a free Maple Lollipop which tasted good. The Peace Iced Tea is so refreshing & I love this juice & coffee booth because they were the only booth selling their own drinks which I needed due to the warm weather plus all the eating, haha! The Peach Iced Tea was good, cold, & refreshing. Just what I needed. There's a lot of booths herr, very lively place with many people attending each week. The Cannoli is so GREAT as the filling made it taste really really good. I'm very happy with the Cannoli because I wasn't expecting it to taste that good but fortunately, it did. Let's gooooooooooo! Next, we have Spicy Sausage Hotdog which is actually the BEST thing I bought at the Peterborough Farmer's Market. It was perfectly spicy, not too strong. The meat was rich & I added all the condiments which made it taste even better. I did not expect the spicy hot dog to be the best thing that I would buy but it was, Hahaha! Also, the service was attentive & fast. Great job to the guy operating here. The second best thing that I bought is the Peach Pierogi. Just the Peach Pierogi is actually the best Pierogi I've ever had in my life. I didn't expect peach to work so well in a Pierogi. That flavour is mind-boggling as it worked so well. Very unique flavour & not an overpowering peach taste. Just the perfect amount of blend in harmoniously with the potato. Wow! Also, the Russian owner was great. Finally, we have the M&M Cookies which is regular. Great experience today at the Peterborough...
Read moreI go to this market because the vendors get to know the customers, they are low key, personable and great products. I purchase Christmas gifts for my Dad - honey, maple syrup and the specialty jams. Weekly he loves the Empire Cookies and I love the coffe.
My two favourite vendors for plants are Westwood Garden and Baily’s Farms & Greenhouses.
Borge and Mona from Westwood Garden, are quite knowledgeable gardeners that have been so helpful with fantastic prices for healthy plants that flourish.
Marjorie, Earl and Teresa, owners of Bailey’s are also excellent gardeners and so knowledgeable.
A summer Saturday morning errand of coffee, chatting about plants and picking up veggies, apples, baked good and other items has been a regular routine for me. I highly recommend this market for the low key and friendly atmosphere. I have also picked up some beautiful pottery for a gift during my stroll...
Read moreSearch up "Farmers market lies exposed: hidden camera investigation (Marketplace)" on Youtube. CBC found that most of the vendors re-sell the same stuff you find at grocery stores at MARKED UP prices and lie to you to tell them they are "local." Even the director of the marketplace doesn't give af. CBC compares it to other places that have strict rules of actually being from a farm. Re-selling wholesale is fine as long as you're honest about it, but they use the word "farmer's market" to make a dollar off of you. If you are okay with over-priced mass produce from...
