This place is really great! You get to learn about Quebec's history through virtual reality, and you have the option to do some games afterwards which are related to the topics seen in the movie. The people are friendly and the price is good for what can be done. Also, the experience isn't too long, about 30 minutes, so it's perfect if you have limited time. Before the movie, a staff member will take the time to explain a few simple rules, so you should at least arrive 10 minutes before a viewing. A downside is that the movie skips over a century of history. I was expecting to see a few things that occurred in the 1900's. Also, if you're a person who already knows a lot about Quebec's history, you won't get to learn much from the experience. But I think it's perfect for tourists visiting Old Quebec or even for Québécois who aren't very familiar with Quebec's history or who aren't expecting to learn much from the experience and are more interested in the virtual reality aspect. Overall, I think it's...
Read morePrior to our visit, I had researched on line, where you could book ahead on line, every hour on the hour. Because there were always times available, we decided to just drop in.
We didn’t need to wait for the time slot and walked right into the room where we were given our headgear and headphones.
I was feeling a bit of motion sickness and my V/R was staggered. After about 10 minutes, I replaced my headset with one on the chair next to me, which worked much better, but still not great, and now I was a bit distracted and had to wait to catch up to the part where I had left off.
The show was very informative, it was interesting to see how times would look hundreds of years ago.
I do think that V/R has to be a bit more perfected to really get the whole program going but nonetheless, this was worth the entrance fee and the time spent there.
It would be more fun to go with a bigger group, and have avatars and quiz for...
Read moreVery good experience. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The session was very engaging and informative, true to its description - the history Quebec. Strongly recommended for history enthusiasts and explorers to have this session before visiting any of the sights in person. The details shown about the battle at the Plains of Abraham were really good, that helped me visualize and imagine better when I actually visited the place (although it's a completely different, pleasant and peaceful place to visit now, but it makes you appreciate it even more). Only improvement I suggest is that the resolution of the video can be made much better...
