If you are already at Sydney, this is a nice stop and look around place. When the weather is nice, clear sky and sunny, you can see Mt. Baker (I think? based on the map) across the sea. Even if you can't see it, the walkway is still very nice. It takes between 30 mins and 1 hour to walk for a round trip if you start from the Beacon Park. I visited here in Janaury and I noticed there were people gathered around at a random Viewpoint and realized they were looking at a seal (sleeping / relaxing) with her nose sticking out of the water. I am not sure if I was just lucky to see one but there it was!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Beacon Park is an angler's paradise! From the serene surroundings to the abundance of fish, this place exceeded all my expectations. The well-maintained fishing spots that made my experience truly remarkable. Whether you're a novice or a seasoned angler, Beacon Park offers something for everyone. I caught some of the biggest fish of my life here, and the memories will last a lifetime. If you're looking for a fantastic fishing destination, look no further than Beacon Park!

Beautiful park, there are chairs scattered around and a path by the water and rocks. There is wildlife that comes over and the view to watch boats moving through the water is serene. This spot is a moment of tranquility and it’s at the end of the Main Street that have multiple shops and restaurants and bakeries. Parking is difficult but we were able to locate a pay parking lot.

Fabulous Free way to spend a Sunday afternoon. SIDNEY SUNDAY SUMMER SOUNDS , offered by Peninsula Celebration Society, this is an afternoon of listening yo the music of various small group bands in the bandshell in the park on the waterfront of Sidney. Each Sunday in August a different group performs music of 50's to present day. People often get up and dance - jive, twist, jitterbug, sway, sing ,simply move, and enjoy. The park is flooded with young, old, toddlers, babies, tweeners, parents, grandparents lovers, boatets, middle -agers... and everybody enjoys the freedom of the space and the music. Children especially are delightful to watch as they feel the freedom of the movement to the music. It is truly a lovely offering that everyone can enjoy because it is free and gives variety that ...

Beacon Park is located at the foot of Beacon Avenue and features public art, a band shell, open greenspace, and walkways that follow along Sidney’s breathtaking waterfront. There is an amphitheater at the southeast corner and provides seats and shade to park goers who rest their legs. The Fish Market on the pier not only sell seafood, also is the most famous landmark of Sidney, BC. The Pier Bistro at the end of the pier has excellent clam chowder and crab cakes, view of the waterfront and...
