This is an incredible bakery! If any of you are old enough to remember or know what the "Buns Master" bakery chain was in the late 80's and early 90's, this bakery has that certain feel when looking around the building.

What looks a bit older and straightforward, is a super great bakery, which has a whole lot of variety of baked goods than a typical bakery would. Sooooo many donuts, cakes, muffins, cupcakes, dinner baked good (like meat sausage rolls), cookies, cupcakes, macaroons, and pizza pretzels, and more! It's been a long time since I've seen a bakery with this amount of diverse baked goods.

My partner and I ordered 26 dollars worth of stuff, trying everything from cookies, donuts, small pies, and dinner baked goods. My wife liked the dinner sausage rolls and her 4" lemon meringue pie, and I absolutely loved the pretzel pizza with real big bits of sausage and the ranger cookies! Sooooo good.

We also have the Cinnamon sticks, plus macaroons which were also good. Not too sweet which we liked, but also soft and flakey.

We didn't realize how popular the bakery was, but from the moment we walked in around 10:00am this place already had a consistent line up of at least 10-15 people continuously. Literally, go get in line, and shop the bakery as you move to the front of the store in a circle path and pick you want!

Unfortunately, that's the only downside to this place, as it seems to be always busy. Locals told us that it does often get busy even during the week day when people order in huge bulk and your favourite item runs out of stock for the day.

Other than that, everything we picked out, we loved. I even saved an apple donut ( kinda like an apple fritter) for the next day, and it was sooo good.

Honestly, if you happen to be in Sydney, BC coming to and from the ferry in Swartz Bay, you should make this bakery a stop along the way. If you've got time on a nice day, you can get some tasty baked goods and walk literally 5 mins to the docks and beach in Sydney and have a great day enjoying the views with some good food.

I should have taken some photos of the food, but check out the photos of the views nearby this bakery.

Highly, highly, highly recommend this bakery. If you're reading this...

I have had pretty good food from here and the doughnuts were good. No complaints there are all.

Edit: the cheesecake squares were delicious, btw.

The issue is with the service. Was there today with my father, he was buying treats for my mother and I for my office. The teenager who eventually came to help us (after we waited in vain for someone at the back dessert counter to show up) was at best inattentive and at worst upset she actually had to do something. My father stated his order, and at the fourth item and amount mentioned paused to ask her if she was getting all of this because all we heard was a steady stream of "yup" and a blank stare. When she went to get a box he repeated the order again, and then again had to indicate something he wanted that was missed from not paying attention.

On the ride out, we had looked into the bag to find that she had forgot to include tarts that we had ordered.

I might be back, having had good service the one time I went before (though this is not promising as my second visit) - but my father certainly will not be returning.

If the kids aren't willing to take the business seriously, hire somebody...

My family and I shop here regularly and I am very disappointed to write about an unpleasant experience I had today. One of the employees, a middle aged woman, was quite rude to me when I was trying to buy a loaf of bread. She was helping other customers first which I understand and is great bc they were there before me, but the way she approached me was harsh and uncalled for. Her tone was very sharp and she was borderline yelling at me to get in the back of the line. Also apparently once wasn’t enough because she decided to yell across the store at me AGAIN saying the line is over there. I work in retail and no matter how busy it is you do NOT yell or talk down to customers. I am very disappointed this happened because I love the baked goods here, but because of that employee I’m disappointed to say it was just an all around unpleasant experience. I didn’t even end up buying my bread that I wanted because I didn’t want to interact with her any further. The other employees, although very busy, seemed quite...

We came here this afternoon for the Apple Fritters, heard they were delicious but unable to get them, assuming they sold out due to high demand. We decided to get other treats and were very disappointed in the rainbow macarons we got a variety of each and they were all very hard except the blueberry one. The cream cheese cinnamon buns were very hard and we noticed icing sugar on them under the cream cheese assuming they were from yesterday's baking and just hidden with cream cheese for the next day. I couldn't get a fork in it. The pecan cinnamon bun was hard as a rock and very dry. Fresh cinnamon buns should not be this dry. Very disappointed as this was out 1st time coming here. On another note the chocolate covered macaroons were delicious. The crossiant sandwiches were delicious.
