Miracle Lanes — Local services in Sidney

My boyfriend and I recently went here, and were treated very unnecessarily rudely by an older man working at the time. It had been a little while since I had last bowled and wanted to have a fun time without getting a ton of gutter balls, that is when I went up to the front desk and asked the man if he would please raise the gutter guards up if they were not already, he then just stared at me for a weird amount of time, and finally rolled his eyes, scoffed at me and said "Wow...umm...those are really just meant for toddlers you know, are you guys children?" I then asked again, because if I am paying for a service, I should be able to ask for something that service provides, he then turned away from me and did a heavy sigh while replying disapprovingly "mhmm...I guess so". I was completely baffled by his tone and how he had talked down to me, as he seemingly had no problems servicing some more experienced older women who were playing. I'm not sure if he was just having a bad day, but it was public bowling times so I believe we should have been treated with the same respect as the others there. It's unfortunate as we both had a really good time during the actual bowling, but the way I was spoken to makes me not want to come back again, and I will be sure to let others who ask, know of my experience...

This is a very long overdue review. Sometime around Easter on a stat holiday I took my 5 neices and nephews here with no reservation. They were fully booked but they worked so hard to fit us in. There were two ladies working. They said they would maneuver things but we would wait 30 min . This was great. I was so worried they would not be able to and didn’t want to face the kids disappointment. I am forever grateful sorry about how long it took for my review. They suggested to book ahead with a credit card. Let’s keep the small town businesses alive. I would go here any day over the one in Langford. Small business equals better service and more personable. They went out of their way....

I love Miracle Lanes! They clearly take pride in running a quality business. The shoes are clean and in great condition, the lanes and equipment are well-called for and the facility overall is a truly nice place to spend an afternoon. I worried that the Glow Bowl would be really loud and the neon lights too much, but it was actually great. Good music and the disco ball and lights were a nice visual effect without being too overwhelming. I hope everyone keeps going to Miracle Lanes so we can all support this local, independent business for many...
