SUMMER REVIEW The gondola is a great experience for everyone. Sure, it seems like nothing, watching from the ground looking up. But once you're up there, and for a few minutes, you appreciate the view (and get the heart pumping from the height)
There are ski trails that sort of convert into hiking trails, but not good. Make sure to find out what time the gondola closes or you will be ordering an Uber to drive up & around the mountain to get you down.
Ran into a family of Foxes up their too.
Suggestion... I like to go star gazing at the top of the mountain at nightfall. You can drive to the top, there are 2 parking lots without gates & lights stay on for u. Remember that Star Gazing requires a clear sky (no clouds) & no light pollution. This means that once you park, you will have to walk in the dark for a tiny bit (just to get away from the...

Personally I dislike this policy as that meant we had to leave my son's balance bike in a safe area at the bottom of the hill. BUT if we drove to the parking lot at the top of the hill, my son would have been able to use his bike. So it's just a matter of transporting the bike via the gondola.
There's always a policy for something. Aside from that, the ride is fine and the trails are great. There's also a new seating area under a massive canopy just to the right of the exit of the ride at the top. Serves alcohol and has great views of the...
Read moreWow, this was by far the best experience we had at The Blue Mountains. Our hotel package included unlimited gondola access, although we only went once — and it was more than worth it. It wasn’t busy at all, and we were on the gondola within just 3 to 4 minutes of waiting in line.
The ride itself was about 4 minutes long, but the views were absolutely breathtaking. Once at the top, there’s a short hiking trail you can explore before taking the gondola back down to the base of the mountain. Strollers and bicycles are allowed inside the gondola, which makes it super convenient for families.
Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and one we’d...
