The Grand Georgian at Blue Mountain
The hotel is ideally placed on the front corner leading to the Blue mountain village. It Less than a two-minute walk from Coors Light Chair, ski school/retail/rental location. Two magic carpets and the graduate hill is easy access (two min walk).
Our room was a decent size, with a semi-functional kitchen area (equipped with dishes). The room had an expansive balcony and a pleasant view of the skii slopes. The rooms was clean. The staff are very friendly, and quick to help. Most of them are well aware of the property and events on-site. There is also a pool (closed in winter) and two hot tubs, open year round.
Overall a good hotel, keeping the closeness to the chair lifts and to the village in mind.
PROS: Easy access to the ski lift chairs and to the village. Plenty of restaurants options. Though not the most healthy option, but it offers a dial-in food delivery option from Pizza Pizza. Some rooms have partial/full kitchen. One can step out using the village exit door that leads directly into the main village, which is very convenient.
CONS: Though the building has been recently renovated, the carpets in the hallway smell, the appliances and furniture somewhat wearing.

Read moreI booked a two bedroom suite for my family (two kids under 6) from Monday to Thursday on the March break. I was so concerned with getting a place with the right sleeping arrangements and a seperate living area for my wife and I didn't read the reviews until later. I checked out the reviews on Trip Advisor and started to read about "party hotel" and "loud" and "security is terrible" which obviously spooked me out. Making sure the kids slept well was key to us having a successful family trip.
After reading the reviews I called the hotel and put in a request to have a two bedroom suite in a quieter area. She recommended the poolside (not village square side) and checked our reservations. She realized we were on the first floor right beside the outdoor hot tubs and checked to see if she could put us higher because it could get noisy. Everything was booked and they couldn't guarantee they could move us so we took our chances.
Upon checking in the staff noticed the request and was able to accommodate us on the top floor (4th floor). I was very happy about this. After staying the three nights I noticed there were in fact some people hanging out in the hot tub at night which I could hear above the TV but the noise seemed to cut out just as fast as it started. After 11pm....I could hear nothing.
The only thing I will say about the hotel is that you can hear people walking/running in the hall and it sounds like it's above you, even though we were on the top floor. But even that wasn't enough to disrupt the family.
The service we received from the staff was incredible no matter who we spoke to. We had a nice fully stocked kitchenette in the unit with a dining table and a living room with fireplace which we used every night to warm up. It was a very pleasurable stay, and we would return in the future. Anyone who says the staff and security doesn't have things under control here are dead wrong....

Check the website page for grand georgian...it says beach access included. I have a screenshot.
Second we called for housekeeping and were told it was suspended due to covid. If your lines are taped check that.
Tried to pay the money to upgrade and would not accept my credit card. Even with only one device connected in the room of allotted 6- the WIFI was so bad it would not connect to email which seems pretty basic.
The tablet was found thankfully and the only option provided was to overnight FedEx it for 67 dollars.
I am beyond disappointed with the response I have received from this. I don't need to be gaslit into thinking I am overreacting when I am explaining for 2200 dollars, not including parking, food, activities...for one room and a pool that may reach capacity and broken hot tubs, I am unsatisfied. I also understand Vail took ownership in 2021 and not sure if that is the reason for the soaring costs but spending 150 bucks to go up a gondola is ridiculous. There is a charge to hike the trails now as well. Come on.
Location was great in terms of being right in the village! Room was dirty but I brought some cleaning supplies. No housekeeping services no matter how long you stay! Both hot tubs were out of service while there. You have to pay for the blue mountain beach now as well despite the web page saying its included in the stay. Overall not a great value for what you got considering pre covid it was less money and you received more included. The WIFI has a max 6 devices and is so slow it is unusable. Also beware, my toddler left her tablet in the bedroom and the only way to report it is online and you can't speak with someone in a timely fashion. The tablet has not been turned in despite knowing what room and area it was in and describing in detail. At this point assuming new guests stole it or housekeeping did...
