Love to skii but was worried of trying this place out as the heights looked scary from outside and i was an intermediate the hill i have tried were way less steeper than these looked.

but for beginners they have developed a small starter course with step by step instructions and a tiny hill to practice to get you started and depending on how quick you are to learn there are other steeper hills you can try.

So during our visit we were initially misinformed by a staff that we met at the learning hill that we don't need a lift ticket and just the rental of the equipment should be sufficient for the learning hill so we booked the rentals through their online website as it was cheaper than buying em in counter but guess what?! The service representative at the check in counter told us that we needed the lift ticket even though we were just heading to practice at the begginer hill. Inspite of sharing our side of story the staff were not helpful so we had to purchase the lift ticket for another $70 on top of the rental which was around the same price.

If at all for that misinformation we would've purchased the beginner package which was around $100 bucks. Totally unfair!

But if not that one awful experience we thoroughly enjoyed the skii and planning to come...

I was in the area for the Family day long weekend and with all the fresh snow wanted to spend some time on the slopes.

I rented a Board and Boots, to say the least I was disappointed.

The Boots: were adequate however, for the price I did expect something a little nicer.

The Board: was a Burton (a great make) but, the left side binding was loose and my foot kept popping out.

I would say 20 years ago my skill level was on the lower side of expert, still I’ve grown older and now might say the high side of intermediate. I was able to manage the poor equipment but, realize that having to compensate definitely reduce my enjoyment and ability.

The last time I rented equipment was in Whistler and they provided some of the best gear I’ve ever used for a better price.

Since this experience I’ve been looking to get my Board back into usable condition and I’m trying to find a good deal on boots, so I never have to rent from this place again.

The prices off the hill are better and after this experience I can only assume that the equipment is too.

Go elsewhere... if you can.

Side note, if you’re a novice, having subpar equipment can make something hard become...

Staff is so ill trained at adjusting skis and boards it’s downright dangerous.

The teens that work here just slapped two left bindings on our board and we thankfully noticed before leaving and they had to fix.

They also set a pair of skis completely wrong and resulted an injury because one ski that was set too high did not come off after falling on the icy and brown hill.

Management needs to focus on actually training staff to properly fit and adjust people to the equipment.

Also you have to ask over and over where to go next for your next piece of equipment. No signs or instructions anywhere for beginners.

This place and the entirety of blue mountain is an embarrassment and my entire family regrets...

Top notch place to ski for those in Ontario. Most runs are long (compared to other ski destinations in Ontario). This is a challenging place to ski. I would not recommend starting here if your just getting into skiing. It is busy but the waits were not to bad for a weekend. Slopes were not crowded for the most part. The village is great place to eat. Like most ski resorts the chalet (or lodge as they called them) were packed and very dirty. Spend a few extra bucks and go the a better restaurant in the village. There it lots of parking though it might be tough to get a close spot if your not there early.

Expansive and well developed Ski resort. They offer lessons and the rentals are quick and easy. They also have tons of other activities for those not interested in the slopes. There are a number of restaurants and cafes in the square. There are also some shops and experiences like axe throwing. The resort also has a spa, an outdoor rollercoaster and snow tubing. The rollercoaster is really worth checking out.
