Tobermory is about 2 hours away from Blue Mountain and 4 hours from Toronto. Bruce Peninsula National Park is an astonishing place as it has beautiful scenery and breathtaking views. We visited The Grotto mid August on a weekday. It requires reservation made in advance even if you are a Discovery Pass pass holder. Our reservation for The Grotto is from 5-9pm so our first stop is to go to the visitor centre where we can obtain a parking permit by showing the staff the Grotto reservation. There is no additional entry or parking fees to the Lookout Tower, Fathom Five National Park and Singing Sand. We arrived The Grotto at 445pm and the staff at the gate issued another permit for Grotto parking. We took the easy path and reached the first stop in 30 minutes where people can swim near the Grotto. It takes another 15 minutes to go to the Grotto itself. We saw many young adults dived into the lake, but I think it’s dangerous to dive in a non diving zone. In fact, there was a diving accident when I head out as I heard people calling 911, my heart sank and hope it wasn’t too serious. To conclude, visiting Bruce Peninsula is a very well worth day trip from Blue Mountain. Highly...

Read moreNice exhibit inside. Wacky ticketing policy. I parked, and paid using an automated kiosk, which printed a pass. The pass said it was for parking, and that I should place it on the dashboard. Then I went inside the center. Was about to enter the exhibit area when I saw a sign saying I needed a pass. I went to the desk and asked about this. I told the young lady I had already paid for parking at the kiosk. She told me that pass was for entry to the park, I needed to pay an additional $15 for parking, and asked to see the pass I got from the kiosk, which she said was for park admission. I was incredulous, and said “so that means you pay for entry to the park in the parking lot, and parking in the visitor center?” She assured me that was the case. Maybe she needed more training. If not, then the system is...
