Dr. Nizran is a money making uninterested-about -the patient- strategist. Waste of time!!
Here's how he operates: He walks in the room that you're asked to sit in, he hears you out for exactly 2 minutes, he speaks to you for 1 minute and prescribes drugs and give you a follow up date in a month approx. So, in total he only gives you 3 minutes after which he says bye and walks out of that room. You dont even realize what happens until another patient comes in and then you feel that you need to now leave. We went through the routine 4 times which cost us 4 months and then realized that his prescriptions are not working.
There is probably nothing wrong with his strategy until you realize that his prescriptions are not working. So, then the next time we questioned his analysis and here's what he said, "please google the problem, Im not here to explain to you what the problem is". This is when things started turning and we realizing stuff. We then asked for a recommendation to a specialist doctor which we are entitled to, he tried to dissuade us twice and finally informed us that he doesnt know how long that would take- which also means he wants to keep milking the government everytime you come for an appointment but does not solve your problem with the right prescription.
He only uses you for your OHIP card for billing so he makes more money.
What good of a doctor is he? What's the primary purpose of a doctor? It's to help a patient with a solution- he does not spend time, wrong analysis and wants to keep you as his patient.
I rate Dr. NIZRAN a 0/5 rating. Well, you may always walk in and be ready to tossed like a coin by him or else, stay away and please, please, please go to...
Ā Ā Ā Read more2 stars and they're just because Dr. Nizran is such a nice guy. I've been coming here for years now but i had the worst interaction with the front desk at my appointment today which was very disappointing. I had informed the receptionist when booking, that I needed to speak with Dr. Nizran and required the earliest appointment available. She told me to come in at 10 AM (thats when they open). I was waiting almost an hour before asking her where the doctor was and she responded with "he's not here yet, he comes in at 11, you should know that, it's been 2 years". Speaking from experience as a previous medical receptionist, it is NOT the patient's job to know the comings and goings of the doctor, that is the RECEPTIONIST'S job to organize the schedule and inform patients of long wait times etc. I was very disappointed that I had to wait 1.5 hours to see the doctor for a quick 1 minute signature. It caused a delay in the rest of my day which was very inconvenient. Furthermore, they have upped the cost to have medical forms filled out for students to about $136, which is extremely expensive especially for a non-working full-time student like myself. (turns out there are other places that do it for $40 or less, sadly I found this out after). I started coming here because back in 2020, the wait time was minimal, the doctor and receptionists were kind and attentive. However, seeing how there has been a long wait time every time regardless of booking an appointment, and receiving attitude from the receptionist has really made me lose trust in this clinic. New patients beware of outrageous pricing and long wait times. (booking an appointment does nothing, you might as well go...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have been having ongoing issues recently. I never had prior issues beforehand. I went to him (since he is my family doctor) and he ran some test. I continued to have the issues and he stated that in the testing he didn't see anything wrong. I asked him what do I do? Instead of trying to refer me to a specialist for further findings, he tells me to go to the hospital if its "that bad"(During the height of the pandemic). In the end, I ended up in the hospital. After that he completely stopped trying to help find out the issue even when it continued. He just keep trying to pass it on since "I went to the hospital."
Since COVID started I understand some healthcare professionals feel overwhelmed but that does not give you an excuse to stop caring for your patients and trying to find out best solutions to figure out the issues. I had to look hard for a new family doctor (which was difficult during covid) and they have been doing wonders to find out the issue... definitely a lot more than this doctor. It is really upsetting how he has completely slacked off on the care...
