Not very happy about the way in which this restaurant has deteriorated in good and service. I ordered some items and a macaroni salad 2 nights ago...as I got into my car..I always check my food..I open it and it was sour like sour pasta and mayo..I immediately returned it back and got a 2nd one..same sour so the chef and the cashier both smelled the ones they had in the glass case..they both staring at each other like dears in headlights..so you mean to tell me they eat and serve sour food? There is no way mi ah leave from Oakville come to Etobicoke fi sour food. They offered a refund I declined as this wasn't about money..I got 2 salt fish peices instead..that I took home..as I reach in and open it .was un - edible..way too salty....atleast taste food before you serve to the general public.I pinched a peice to makesure my nose was not tricking me..it was not..today ah 02/19 and this salt fish is in my compost bin. I'm super disappointed and will not be returning. I can forgive but once you get a taste of the staff attitude you would rather starve than get treated like that. With a beautiful name 876 Jamrock...the vibes aren't too jam rocky? All I'm saying is cook better..put labels on things ..for example all mcds have expiry time for their apple pies...why u nuh have labels for highly perishable foods? I would like to see how this review is handled as I said mi nah come back here b4 mi get poizn fi talk truth. I love my Jamaicans but ..yall really need to up the customer service and improve on the cooking. With much respect.

If anyone thinks this place has flavour then they must have covid because they have no taste!! Their jerk chicken is very dry and lacks flavour big time. I don't taste that smokiness, no scallions, scotch bonnet, garlic, onions, pimento...absolutely nothing. Literally taste like overcooked oven baked chicken. You're better off buying chicken from the grocery store and marinating it with spicy walkerswood and some cool running jerk seasoning and it would taste 100x better than 876 jamrocks jerk chicken...all facts!! The irony is I came around 10:30am and they had served me the jerk chicken and I can almost guarantee it was from the night before. The chicken wasn't moist and juicy at all. Tasted very hard and I just threw out my food. Very disappointing and will not be returning here.

The only reason this gets 2 star and not 2 is because of the ackee and saltfish meal. They really fill up the container with it and it was really good. The ground provision was also really soft all though it could use a touch of salt. The carrot cake was warm. The saltfish fritters was extremely big and flat. Nothing special. The plantains were burnt. The felt was good. Dumpling was decent but it was a bit too similar in taste to the festival but slightly less soft. After having the food in the fridge after a few hours, my husband had his and he said it was stale. Fresh food should go bad in a short time. The patty was also stale.

I visited this restaurant today to pick up lunch on my lunch break. I stood by the order window for approximately 10 minutes. There were 3 people in restaurant sitting and eating so they had placed their orders already. A lady came in AFTER me. The cashier ignored me standing by the window waiting to place my order and proceeded to chat with the lady behind me and took her order ahead of mine. After the lady that was behind me placed her order they still were chatting away while I am still waiting for the order window. They finally finished chatting and then I walked up and asked her why she took that lady's order before me. She claimed that she did not see me and that they don't use the order window anymore to place orders! Really?! Is that not what a order window is for? what is the purpose of then having the window. I am on my lunch break which is an hour like most people. So I spend 10 minutes at order window waiting only for cashier to tell me they don't use that window to order anymore. I find this whole experience uncomfortable, rude and disrespectful and I will never visit this establishment again and will also alert my friends and family members. They have just lost a long paying customer. Never again.

Upon walking out, I said to the cashier "I will never visit your restaurant again" and her reply was "no problem". Typical Jamaican customer service response. A restaurant with cashiers who were trained with proper etiquette and good customer service would have replied with something like "I am so very sorry".......instead I get hit with a sarcastic reply.

I give it a 1 star rating due to the customer service by the cashier solely. Terrible customer service. Why is it so hard to get good customer service at Jamaican...

Being that it was Sunday I wanted some Oxtail. My husband and I drove to this restaurant and ordered a small oxtail and a medium curry goat. Got the order went to the car to eat the food and realized we got a small and a medium oxtail instead of the curry goat. Husband didn't want to bring it back and decided to eat the oxtail. Halfway into eating my food I found a hair on the piece of oxtail I was just about to put in my mouth. Being that we were eating in the car in the parking lot I took the food and went in to show them. The person at the counter took the food went to the back and after a while came back out and said " he said what do you want him to do about it", not understanding what she meant I replied "excuse me", she then responded what do you want him to do? Do you want a refund or something. I then responded that my purpose was to inform them so that they can do better next time. And I walked out of the restaurant leaving the cashier with the food with the hair in her hand. As a person of color and someone who supports this restaurant regularly the respond of what do you want him to do about it was a bit distasteful. Had they come with a different approach such as " how can we make it better" or how can we rectify it would have been a better respond. My only intent was for them to be more diligent and observant when...
