I went with my family to this place on 4th March 2022. Knowing JAY Bhavani in Ahmedabad We had good expectation for food. The place is small with no decor, few tables with some metal chairs. The place is crowed and customers trying to find table or getting chairs from each other tables. Because it is open hall, if some one opens the door it brings cold draft from outside in winter. There is no one from the restaurant to take care of this place. Restuarant people are only seen behind the counter taking orders or giving away the food trays. The tables are dirty as previous customers don’t clean their mess and restaurant people don’t bother cleaning them. The restaurant does not supply complimentary water. Make sure you go with your own water or you have to buy water bottle. The restaurant is more interested in take out customer than having customers in the place. So far so good We ordered vada paav( there are two types, one Bombay style which they said it is dry and other is Ahmedabad style which is bit more buttery) We asked for Bombay style vadapav which is 50 cents cheaper which they told us they do not serve it any more. So we ordered vadapav , dabeli, pulav and misal pav. We got our food in 20 mins. The pav was fully dipped in (looked like oil, but they said it is butter) butter which we never tested. The dabeli is just as good as compromise with oily bread with some sweet stuffing inside. Never in my life that I ate this vadapav and dabeli. We left half of our vadapav and dabeli and turn to pulav and misal pav. It was worst than the first two items. Pulav was as black and oily as possible, never seen pulav like this. Misal was just curry in plastic container with some gardan in side with no lime or onion with oily bread.

We left them both half way too.

They also ration for the paper napkins. We were given three napkins for the group of 7 people. These napkins were full of oil we used them to clean oil on the pav. After some time we started feeling throwing up cause of too oily food We were so disappointed with this experience These people using famous names from back home to cheat people and playing with people emotions and taking money from them to give garbage ( can not even say food) All my desi friends, believe me you can make much better of these food at home and much cheaper. If you are thinking even to go there one to take the experience , I advice please think twice. You will be disappointed in first 10 mins.

Trust me there are many more options available to go, they may be few cents more but better than this. I have attached few pics for you all to know what you can...

We ordered pick up (but than decided to dine in) while ordering over the call we have to wait a couple of minutes which is still fine, after taking our order I asked for simple modification on Manchurian with gravy i asked please do semi gravy or less gravy the guy said we cannot accommodate this request was really not big deal, after explaining them they decided to accommodate. But before saying yes they repeatedly said 2-3 times “ok so you want dry manchurian right?” I already explained about the gravy before this but still don’t know for what reason the guy kept saying about the dry manchurian. Next when we decided to dine in, saw all the tables dirty, and than when we sat on the sofa of the table realised the sofa is broken (leg) I almost fell, there was one more customer who tried seating and I told them its broken so don’t sit, an employee saw me telling another customer and she decided to check the sofa, instead of marking or putting a note do not use this table or table out of service she decided to fix the sofa leg with keeping something instead of the broken leg (not at all safe, its a safety hazard). Lastly our food was cold. Approached the front desk guy about it he said actually you ordered pick up we had packed your order, reality we arrived 3 minutes after placing the order at the restaurant another guy had told us the order is not ready. So don’t know about the miscommunication here between the staff. Things weren’t adding up when the other guy said we had already prepared your order so it might be cold, but we had waiter for about 5-8 minutes for our order to arrive still cold. They said we prepare it fresh and I am sure it wasn’t fresh because the taste itself was kind of stale. We always visit the Scarborough branch but decided to come here this time. Not a good experience at all. Scarborough location is way better. Disappointed by the experience today at...

I am sharing this review for people who are looking to travel from far to try the food. First of all I am from ahmedabad and I have been eating at jay bhavani for so many years. When I heard jay bhavani opened in Toronto so I got very excited to try. The place was jam packed with people as expected. There is only one lady taking orders and delivering as well. Long line to give order and wait time 45 min. The staff is under trained and very ignorant. The lady at front was very ignorant and only interested in taking orders while at the same time telling people that we are back logged with orders. I told her that why don’t you stop taking orders for bit and focus on already taken orders. But she ignored. I feel they are only interested in money making. There were so many people complaining about receiving cold food and not even getting right order. The food quailing is garbage. Food quantity is so tiny with the prices they are charging. The food is cold served and taste is very average. So please don’t go crazy with the hype and buzz it has created. I am sharing images of the food as well. I know my review is not going to change anything but still I thought of sharing so other people don’t suffer. If they will not improve then slowly the hype will fade away and business won’t be same. I have worked in food industry in Canada for many years. I feel the owners should focus on food quality and quantity and better customer service with experience that they keep returning back. Very much dissatisfied and...

Recently, I had the pleasure of visiting Jaybhavani Restaurant with my brothers and sisters. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted like valued guests. The warm smiles and friendly words from the staff instantly made us feel at home. One of the highlights was when a staff member noticed our table wasn’t completely clean; she promptly took the initiative to tidy it up for us, showcasing the restaurant’s commitment to excellent service. We decided to explore the menu and ordered a variety of dishes, including vada pav, Manchurian, and bhel, complemented by refreshing drinks like an Oreo shake and mango lassi. Each dish was not only delicious but also bursting with flavor. The vada pav had the perfect crunch, while the Manchurian was savory and satisfying. The bhel was fresh and tangy, a delightful mix of textures. The service was impressively quick, which allowed us to enjoy our meal without any unnecessary delays. Adding to the experience, the ambiance was lively, with upbeat music playing in the background that created a vibrant atmosphere and set the perfect mood for our gathering. Overall, our visit to Jaybhavani was a wonderful experience filled with great food, friendly service, and a welcoming environment. Good job to the team; your dedication to your work has clearly elevated the restaurant to the top, serving the community with gratitude. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious meal and a good time!
