Ashbridges Bay — Attraction in Toronto

The Victoria Day fireworks display at Ashbridges Bay park was absolutely spectacular! As the night sky lit up with brilliant bursts of colors, it was a sight that filled us with awe and wonder. The event was well-organized, and the location provided an excellent vantage point to enjoy the fireworks. The atmosphere was festive, with families and friends gathering to celebrate together. This is my favourite place to spend weeknight evenings in summer. I take my bike here for a ride along the boardwalk (it can get very busy though, along the eastern side of the park, so go slow) and to the western side where there are fewer people. Facing the yacht club, you can see a fantastic sunset while seated on a bench. On hot days, I also head here, not for the sandy beach areas -- although that would be great for kids and young adults -- but to sit on the shaded rocks that face out over the lake. Great breezes, the sound of waves. It feels like my own personal cottage...
