Burrito Bandidos — Restaurant in Toronto

My boyfriend wanted to go to Bandits tonight. My face 😕. I have not been coming here as often since my order is consistently messed up. Also, the decision to charge extra for guacamole because most people, apparently, ask for for their order without (its been explanation more then two times to me). So same price, but more for a one less included option, is discrinatory against people that have milk intolerance issues. No one wants a dry burrito! Salsa is not enough, unless again, you pay for extra. Oh tonight, the guy said he would give me guacamole for free since I can't have dairy. I asked for green onions, no red onions and no rice. My burrito had no green onions, no guacamole way too much rice and tons of red onions. I think I had five small flakes of lettuce. So yes, dry and not what I asked for. @Management/owner. Stars earned: Your staff is nice regardless if they made mistakes... One person at the end their shift passed along the order to the Cook. Simple active listening and/or asking for confirmation can avoid such miscommunication. The ingredients you do choose to give as standard, are fresh. Stars lost as local former regular customer lost: The guacamole decision really sucks. I can go to your competitors that offer these options AND have burrito bowls in more then one size and be much more happier. I love local businesses and I do support. I know you will do well especially with summer coming and new concert venue coming. I wish you the best and I hope to give you a five star review in the future(so much more quicker to write and see those have more responses). These my true thoughts now, with your current options...

Visited this place for a quick dinner before a show at History. The 2 employees working did not have even one ounce of care for their jobs. Neither knew what they were doing. We waited over 30 minutes for a burrito and a bowl. Neither staff member even acknowledged us until about 10 minutes in. They were standing around on their phoned while ignoring customers right in front of them. When they did decide to make food, they made the orders of people who ordered behind us. At one point they started making uber orders that had just come in, and when we asked about our food? We were told to just wait. The food safety standards seemed extremely lax- we witnessed zero handwashing, even though they were going back and forth from the cash to the kitchen to the burrito building station, and using their phones in between. We will not be back. The Annex location of Burrito Banditos is one of my favourite places, I always have great food and service. This was such a disappointment, and also made us late to our concert. This is my second favorite burrito spot behind Fat Bastard Burrito. I'm actually really surprised that they are never in the conversation when it comes to reviews in magazines and such. The burritos here are fantastic in my opinion.

So you're probably wondering why I only gave it 4 stars instead of 5. When I first started going to this burrito spot, they used to religiously wear gloves. If they touch something, they would take them off and put on a new pair of gloves. I was amazed at this process. It was especially true with one staff in particular however she is off on mat leave for the second time. Since she has been gone there seems to be some new staff here and they don't seem to even want to wear gloves.

I am just really against somebody who is going to touch money then touch or make a burrito. Unless you're going to wash your hands for the required 20 seconds, which they don't, it really bothers me.
