Great place for a bite before the movies. It's the closest dine-in restaurant to the cinema. It can get pretty busy if it's before a show at History (concert venue) down the street as well. They have patio but the interior is quite small, maybe around a dozen tables. Best for parties of 1-4, 1-2 seems more ideal. Very hearty menu. A lot of warm comfort items and pizzas. Had the mussels, then lasagna, with a bottle of Chianti. All was just fine and satiating. Appreciated the extra bread to sop up the marinara sauce! Very friendly and prompt service. Made good timing for our movie. We were in and out in an hour (appetizer and mains) but we were able to put in our orders before the rush of concert go-ers. Would come back for the convenience of location. Maybe next time with a little more time for dessert!

When it comes to pizza, especially at an Italian restaurant, it shouldn't be a hit-and-miss affair. I was disappointed at the Napolitana pizza (mozzarella cheese, black olives, anchovies, capers, garlic ) that I had at Casa Di Giorgio. The crust tasted all right, not as light as I expected, but that might be their style, but seriously tasted like store bought dough. The topping was definitely heavy handed: it must've had half a small jar of capers (as per picture), in addition to an excessive amount of olives and some anchovies. Too salty and dry, unfortunately. My companions had the risotto (good), and veal parmigiana (they said it was good, lacked a bit of salt, which is fine, and it looked like the spaghetti had been broken up - why? Lol ). Staff was great and service was good too.

I can’t understand the poor reviews. I have been here maybe 7-10 times over the past few years and enjoyed it each time. The last time we came is pictured it was the beet salad, bruschetta and chicken & mushroom risotto. We have tried a number of dishes but the bruschetta and risotto are among our favourites. It’s reasonably priced for sit down Italian food. They have a varied menu and great wine selection. The patio is nice in the summer and offers a nice view of Queen East. We usually share a main and two apps and find that to be enough for two. The service is fast and friendly. If you are in the mood for a cocktail my suggestion is the Rosa and my partners is the Negroni. They make a great cocktail here and the pours are heavy. Overall, it’s a nice little spot and the food is good.

The food here was okay for a somewhat high price, however the service was despicable. I myself am a vegetarian, and so I told the waitress this & then she recommended a pizza for me, I didn’t realize until later that this pizza she had recommended me had fish on it, she said she didn’t realize that wasn’t allowed cause her daughter could have fish while she was vegetarian. All of this was fine until she argued with me after I had said that couldn’t eat it, even calling me “too picky, it’s just fish” and TOUCHING the fish on my pizza to show me it was fine. Finally as we got the bill, she charged me for the higher priced pizza with fish, after having given me the plain vegetarian pizza. By the time paying the bills came, my husband had asked for a manager to discuss how we can be compensated for the mix up and the fact that we were being charged for the wrong pizza because the waitress had said she couldn’t do anything for us. At first the waitress had just said no, but finally we got the manager out to deal with this. As he arrives my husband explains the issues, and all the manager has to say about it is “well why can’t she speak for herself.” and so my husband explains that it’s an issue of our bill (both of our meals are on one bill) and so it’s his issue as well along with the attitude that had been given by his staff, and so the manager says that he doesn’t need my husbands attitude and tells us he will give the discount and then tells the waitresss not to waste her time talking to us anymore because “we are not worth their time” and that he’s just “trying to get us out of there”. Meanwhile all of this is happening on the patio in front of all the other couples there for dinner....

I called and ordered a pizza for pick up and when I arrived 30 minutes later to pick it up wearing flip flops and a bathing suit and a wrap around skirt and tank top carrying a purse, I locked my bike out front so I could run in and grab my pizza but one of the waitresses ran out of the restaurant and said excuse me are you here to pick up an order? To which I replied yes, then she said yeah well there's a special entrance at the side of the building for you guys and your not supposed to leave your bike out front. I was thinking like um I order from here all the time and I've never heard this rule. So I said like um well I already locked my bike so can I just come in the front door and she's like ok you can this time but in future you have to use the side door, and like people were eating and watching the whole thing from the patio, then when I entered the restaurant customer entrance behind her she ran and grabbed an Uber delivery order and handed it to me. I was like actually I'm not a delivery person I ordered a pizza and she said oh sorry and grabbed my pizza and I paid and left. The experience has stayed with me since it happened on August 21st. Like what about me made her think I was an Uber delivery person? Wearing a bathing suit and a skirt and flip flops carrying a purse and riding like a regular hybrid bicycle? I don't have an Uber delivery bag on my bike or anything like that so what? Was it that I am brown skinned? There is a noticeable imbalance of diversity amongst Uber delivery people in that area and my experience proves that some people such as that waitress are too accustomed to it to even treat a black woman coming to pick up her pizza...

We dined here with my elderly in-laws and 2 young kids (one kid is a baby). Upon making reservations we were asked if we wanted to sit indoors or out, we said indoors thinking it would be air conditioned because why would you ask otherwise? When we arrived we realized it was hotter inside so asked to be seated on the patio. The waitress and hostess/manager directed us to the side drenched in sun (it was a high of 30 degrees) so we asked to be seated in the shade and they basically said no. Said they can't combine tables and that our party of 4 adults, a kid and lap baby wouldn't fit around their round table. So we said fine and sat in the sun. The waitress was about average in her service although I did have to ask for a high chair twice but the hostess/manager didn't crack a smile once or respond to my hello and showed no interest in accommodating our party of seniors and kids. Soon after, a family of 5 arrived and was seated around the round table in the shade. The same table that we as 4 adults, a kid and lap baby were refused. As for the food, it was average. We chose to eat here because they advertised whole wheat crust and cauliflower crust...both of which they didn't have. When the bill came we noticed about a 20% gratuity added which the waitress said they add to parties of greater than 5. I'm sorry we were 4 adults and ordered food for 4 adults. My kid ate the complimentary bread and the baby ate nothing obviously. Overall not a great experience, will not return...
