Super convent but to be honest, I feel they have an old school mentality when charging their club members. I personally only use this place for the gym, but in order to do that you have to pay an initiation fee of $400 (which I get because its a club), on top of the cost for the yearly membership, another 471 =$900 after taxes. If you fall of the wagon for a year and want to come back you need to pay the initiation fee AGAIN and find a new sponsor.

I have already been a member here twice now and was recently looking to go back to the gym, but found out with no surprise that I would have to pay for an initiation fee for a third time to get access.

To top it off they only allow you to buy into a membership on the date that all gym memberships begin which in my case was October 31st. Which means on todays date I would pay $471 until October 31st and then would have to pay again come November 1st of this year.

Why would you be selling exclusive gym membership if you are suckering your clients into only getting a portion of the year. Why not structure it like all other gyms where they start you on a date, come year round you renew. Unless I'm missing something here?

My mind is blown on how this place runs their memberships. Old school mind set and gauging people for money seems to be the memo. Hopefully they can change this,...

Staff are very condescending and unwelcoming to guests right from entering the main entry, and the club management are insincere, hypocritical, and dishonourable.

Although for many years in this club and many other sports/yacht clubs have honoured a “reciprocal membership” access, this club seems to think it is OK to suddenly drop that reciprocal treatment and turn away guests (stating to guests from other clubs are unwelcome) while still expecting their members should be welcome at other clubs.

Management of this club needs a total attitude check. I would never recommend to join or support this club in any way.

There are far better places with lovely patios to attend then to support such people who think they are better than everyone else, and it’s not even so great there! Very basic with awful...

We live nearby and were curious about the patio. It looked pretty rundown and beat up from the outside, so we were thrown off by the snobby response to our inquiry lol. We called June 19th around 4:25 to ask about the patio and if we could make reservations. Guy on the phone flatly said "you cant". He gave us the shortest responses in such a rude way. We asked why, "members only". How do you become a member? "You cant". Why not? "We dont have anymore slots left". When will some be available" "they wont be".

The first review I saw of this place lays it out like it is. Grumpy little gremlins running this place...

Back to the Balmy Beach Area in the middle of January. The 15th of 2021. Wow I have never seen this area and beach during the winter. Always wondered each spring why the sand is so high and up so far near the beach club. Now today I have finally seen the true power of the waters around this area and it pushing debris and sand further up near the beach club. Even the sound of the water can be heard for miles. Love the views at and around Kew Balmy Beach Club. Amazing sights from the patio. Friendly staff and all around great place.

Great food and service! Very friendly I had a sandwich served with salad, chocolate cake with whipped cream and wine. The wasps stayed outside and I was safe inside with a beautiful view. Plenty of free parking available for first come first serve. Gorgeous walk on the beach or directly on the boardwalk. Near a dog park as well. Nice way to access woodbine beach.

Terrible Service. 20 minutes for drinks. Delivered food to the wrong table. Food was cold. Mediocrity would be a compliment. Nice location but that does not make up for the terrible service. You have to be a member to go in so my rating should not mean much to most folk.
