I personally really like this Dollarama. I gave it 4 out of 5 stars only because I've been to the one at Empress Walk and that location has slightly better options. Today I went and bought my sister tape for painting at $2 each roll. Great price! I bought cork hot pot stands and parchment paper for $2 each. Wax paper was $1.50! Prices were great. They recently renovated this store. It still looks nice and clean. It was a nice surprise to see it renovated. Things have been moved around so I will have to get used to the new layout.

Great dollarama in a strip mall next to Walmart and Fresh Value so extremely convenient location to get all your shopping needs taken care of at the same time. Lots of parking since there are lots of stores, however it is usually busy.

UPDATE AUG 18, 2025: A two-man pickpocket team attempted to rob an elderly man in this store but were outsmarted. A tall guy created a diversion by showing a blue dye-covered cloth that he claimed was from the back of the man's pants. Not true. At the same time, a hand started to go into the back pocket to remove a packet of money. The elderly man felt the hand, smacked the hand away. The short man ran off. Tall guy denied anything. A short while later, short guy attempted the theft AGAIN but was thwarted by the smacking hand of the elderly man. The blue dye ruined the man's brand new shorts. Beware of pickpockets in this store! Don't make assumptions.

PREVIOUSLY: Dollarama is a Canadian-owned company and I'm so happy about shopping in their stores. Today, I even bought a red baseball cap with white "Canada" lettering. Perfect. There were huge Canadian flags available, too. I wish that there were other wearable items for sale now to express our Canadian pride but am happy to at least see those items. I love shopping at Dollarama and this particular store is convenient and carries what I need. Excellent prices, of course.

There is a downside to shopping here. Dollarama is a highly profitable company and should not be cutting back on store staff, especially in this small store that is important in this Rexdale community. They force us to use their checkout machines to pay for purchases instead of a nice, helpful and smiling Cashier, as before.

Also, if you don't remove the items quickly enough after paying for them, the machine nags every few seconds with a message to remove the items from the bagging area. Annoying and unnecessary! Sometimes, I buy a lot of items and it takes a bit of time to carefully arrange them in my carry-all bag. Self-checkouts at other stores don't nag customers like this. I wish that Dollarama's head office would fix this problem. Of course, it's not going to stop me from regular shopping at...

Typical Dollarama. Looks like the owner is too cheap to pay for enough check out staff. I've been there when only one very pregnant woman was left to run the cash register and take care of the self check out by herself. Not sure how they expected her to be in 2 places at one time. I hope she got 2 pay checks since they had her working 2 positions at once. She certainly deserved more pay for doing BOTH jobs!! Edit: so things seem worse! Went today, still only one girl to cover the cash and self check out, left covered in dust because the place is a dump. Literally dust all over the front of my pants, all I looked at were beach mats. I'm guessing it was last years dusty old stock that they put out without cleaning the years worth of dust off. Looks like a really cheap franchise owner has this one...ew! I'll take...

Rude customer service. I was at self checkout and I was purchasing items that were breakable. I kindly asked the lady there for a wrapping paper and she told me I didn’t need them because my items had plastic coverage and walked away. I asked her again kindly for the second time telling her how the plastic didn’t surround all of the item so I still needed the wrapper. She ignored me and walked away. Finally I kindly asked for the third time for the paper and she told me she was the only person available right now and was busy, and rudely handed me the paper by placing it on the cashier and walked away to talk with her coworker. However, there was almost no one on the self checkout and there wasn’t a single customer on the...
