Friends of Jesus Christ, Canada — Attraction in Toronto

Been here for the past 3 weeks, it's an amazing loving church. I came to church with a mindset of worshipping God, not to entertain myself. Due to the other commenter, I'm prepared myself to keep my eyes on God, not on individuals.

To my surprise, no Jewish songs were sang, all English, you can tell they sang from the heart and did it beautifully. Maybe I don't have an exquisite taste and ear for music but I don't think God would mind any types of singers as long as they did it from the heart to glorify Him.

After worship was testimony then sermon. Again, nothing unbiblical, first week sermon spoke directly to me, my ears was blessed.

So no this is not an occult, judging from my 3 weeks attending, they're a Christ-centered church. Yes majority's Filipino, but so what we're all God children. I'm not one myself but they take me in just fine. I love it.

Bonus they have Sunday bible school for kids if you're a parent.

This church helped me find God and understand what Christ is all about. It has absolutely changed my life. I don’t know what the future holds but what I have now versus what I had in my life before is incomparable. This is a Filipino church helping Filipinos continually seek God and find Christ. Majority of the service is done in English but once a month, there is a Filipino service. I would encourage you to come and visit even if you are not Filipino. We have members that are not Filipinos and they have stayed. If you come with an open heart and the willingness to seek God, and understand what God is all about then this church might be for you. Just a bunch of Filipinos who sing Jewish songs but really don't even know how the songs properly. And if i'm being honest, their singers can't sing at all.. but maybe it is because of their fob accents. It's basically a cult where a bunch of Filipinos who fangirl over everything and anything Jewish, in addition to Filipino-related conventional practices. Another note, it is not multicultural.
