This place has an awful customer service. I called to find out prices for products I was going to go and purchase and when I called the owner answered. After giving me the price for one of the two items i was inquiring about the man had the audacity to say "I don't know the price, I'm busy right now, I have customers." in a very rude manner. After I said "wow, great customer service" he replied "yeah yeah, I'm very busy right now". I was appalled by his conduct....NEVER again will I come to this store no matter how much variety and selection they have. You cannot be rude to people in general especially when they approached you in a respectful manner....and you cannot be rude to your CUSTOMERS that support your business and livelihood by purchasing your products. RUDE people don't deserve my hard earned money!! If you care about how others treat you....you shouldn't come...

Original owners, Harry and his brother had the store on Bathurst on the south side of St. Clair when I lived near there btwn 1981 -1992. That was my first health food store and it was like Christmas. That’s also where I discovered almond milk and ppl thought I was weird for drinking it. Now it's more popular than dairy milk. I've been drinking it ever since. Discovered them again in this location and was glad I did. I'm not as close now (Bathurst and Lawrence) but just a short bus trip to an "old friend". Prices are reasonable with some things being cheaper than elsewhere, like certain protein powders. Lots of bulk items. Natural cleaner section. Staff are friendly and helpful. Always nice to say hello to Harry. He always remembers my name, after all...

This wonderful healthfood store truly is a gem, as are its owners and staff, who are knowledgeable, friendly, honest and so very helpful. I visited it regularly for nearly a decade before leaving Toronto and was never disappointed. It also has the best prices in the city, for many of their products, and offers a superior selection of brands among its supplements, as well its "fresh," canned and "bulk" goods). Over the years, I've chatted with many of Evergreen's longtime customers and they all say more or less the same thing: They're just great. BONUS: after a recent reno, the isles are now even more organized than before and much easier to navigate -- especially during its busiest times. I really miss...
