For a long time, I have been wanting to change my hair colour, but I was always too nervous about how it would look me. I'm also a nervous person when it comes to hair salons, as I'm quite shy and don't really know how to say what I want. I've only ever lightened my natural brown hair once and even that was adventurous for me! A couple weeks ago, a friend had posted a recent hair colour change she had from Artel Salon and I was absolutely in love with the work done. I started following the salon and looked at the different styles of each hairstylist. I eventually came to Ria Jade and I'm so thankful I did! When I finally booked my consultant appointment with Ria, it was everything I hadn't experienced before. She was kind, courteous and definitely knew what she was doing. She asked a lot of questions about my hair and how I wore it and basically what I used to take care of it. All very professional and informative. When I told her about the hair colour I wanted (a dark copper!), there was no hesitation! She looked at the photo of the hair colour I wanted and had already started playing with my hair to see what she could do. When I actually got my hair done, it was probably the best service I ever had. Ria is absolutely amazing and so easy to talk to. My final hair transformation was beyond anything I thought could happen and I'm so so incredibly happy I chose to come to this salon for my hair. Ria told me ways to protect my hair colour and for sure brought positive vibes to my new appearance. Olivia is an incredible hair stylist and I can’t recommend her enough! She honestly gave me the best haircut I’ve ever had and here’s why: I have really long natural hair and I always got TERRIFIED of the hair salon (yes, even more than the dentist) because they would always cut off so much more than originally discussed while also leaving my hair blunt cut, flat and volume-less. Multiple stylists did this! Olivia was really patient with understanding my concerns and bringing my vision to life while also ensuring she’s cutting enough to keep everything healthy.

With total trust I did let her take off more length but for the first time I loved my haircut so much that I seriously considered just keeping it at that length. She gave my hair so much volume and life through layers. Even as I write this review a few months later (to fully settle into my new do) I still have healthy, voluminous hair that I don’t need to style. I used to have extremely flat, straight hair and now probably with the use of the hair care she recommended I am even starting to get my natural curls back like I had as a kid.
