Capelli Salon Vancouver — Local services in Vancouver

I have been going to Capelli Salon for nearly a year now since my stylist, Hieu Tran moved there and I just love it! I have visited many salons over the decades and Capelli might be my favourite so far!

When you walk in, you are warmly greeted by the staff, taken to your chair and given a warm hand towel, small cup of herbal tea, hand lotion and a chocolate all served on a tray and then offered a coffee of your choice as you get your service done. The salon is beautiful and inviting, modern and with huge windows, it is light and bright. While I go there to see Hieu (whom I love as a stylist btw), all the staff there are so nice and friendly making you feel welcomed. They offer a huge variety of services and I usually get the 'energy shot' which helps the healthy of my hair. Few other things to to note: the free underground parking is a huge bonus and the washing stations for your hair are the most comfortable I've ever used as they adjust to your neck so it's not craning. They have a great variety of good quality products for purchase as well Biosthetique makeup if interested.

And, while I only see Hieu as he's been my stylist for years, I have seen the work of the other stylists there and they are all fantastic and I've been very impressed. I have visited salons around the world - in at least 40 different countries. I have never had a salon experience like the one I had here today!

My stylist, David, and every person who I dealt with from reception to the scalp consultation, were phenomenal. I have MS and thyroid disease, which has both made it harder for me to care for my hair physically (like motor control) and also affected the ability for my hair to grow healthy and strong. I have been looking for a place that would take an integrative approach to my hair and scalp - striking a balance between health and style - and I’m so happy to have finally found the place! Especially given my health concerns, I’ve also been weary to return to a salon since the pandemic, but felt completely safe with more than adequate COVID protocols in place.

My hair feels amazing with the products that were carefully chosen according to tests they performed on my scalp and hair type, I’m so happy with the cut and styling advice David provided, and I feel like we’re all on the same page about what my long-term hair goals are, in a holistic kind of way.

I have never written a review before but I had such an awesome experience yesterday when I had my hair cut & highlighted by Nicky at Capelli Salon that I had to write one. From the moment I walked into the salon until the moment I left I felt welcomed. Nicky met me at the door, a colleague brought me a cup of tea, a chocolate, a warm wet towel and some hand lotion when sat down at Nicky’s station. Once my highlights were down and waiting for them to process I was offered a cup of tea and a lovely biscuit. This was most welcomed as my appointment was over lunch. Nicky is an amazing young lady, very dedicated to her profession, very knowledgeable & very friendly. I have very fine hair which is sometimes difficult to style. Nicky did an incredible job, very meticulous with both the highlights and cut. It was my first time at Capelli Salon. I did a drop in last week to get an estimate (which was bang on) of what I wanted.
