Located in the heart of Vancouver at Broadway and Oak Street, Deja Brew is your uplifted take to the classic coffeehouse. They serve up a variety of soups, made-to-order sandwiches/wraps, muffins, cookies and more. They always serve a daily special which usually consists of a half specialty sandwich and a soup. All these goodies are prepared daily by their very own in-house chef (yes, an actual chef!) so you can be sure that the food is 'yummy in your tummy!' What would a coffeehouse be without coffee?! Just a house! They brew up ReSIProcate coffee, which is an organic, fair-trade coffee which focuses on supporting sustainable communities. They also serve up a wide selection of expresso-based drinks for the coffee lovers and non-caffeine beverages if that is what you prefer. The best part about this joint - the staff! They greet you with a smile upon arrival and take the time to get to you know more with each visit. Stop by and make some new friends over some coffee! #vancouver #eatery #foodie #local #sandwiches #soup...
Read moreThis is one of my favourite lunch spots when I'm on break at work! I only have 30 minutes for lunch so I appreciate a place that offers tasty as well as healthy options that can be served quickly. The staff have always been so kind and welcoming when I come in which I find is less and less common at a lot of cafes these days. One of the women that works there, who I believe is the owner, always makes an effort to say "hi" to me when I come in and she has even memorized my name! How's that for nice and welcoming customer service? I've never had a bad meal from this place and the food is consistently tasty. I like that they tend to have different and delicious specials each day. The only take-back is it is a little bit on the pricier side and I believe they close around 3:30 which makes it hard to get there if you're a late luncher. Other than that, I really like this place and plan to continue being a regular whether it's for a quick coffee or a tasty sandwich for lunch. Thanks for the consistently...
Read moreBeen here twice and the breakfast sandwiches are yummy as well as the coffee... however it's pretty expensive... this morning I paid $14 for a mocha and breakfast sandwich with avocado (extra charge) and also tipped which I always do.... and the avocado wasnt on my breakfast sandwich sadly so I paid extra and tipped for nothing :(. I was the only person in there so it also wasnt busy... anyways it seems like a great little place but had to take off a star for the poor service this morning (the girl who took my order this morning who I tipped for no reason also just sat on the floor on her phone texting before she handed me my food which was kind of offputting and unprofessional). I never leave negative reviews because I know how important they are to a business... but I felt the need to with this experience. Maybe will try this place again in the future and will have a...
