Great park by the water. Large open spaces, gravel trails, boardwalks, and beaches. Many dog owners bring their pets here. Two parking areas for cars, with bathrooms at the east parking, and parking all along the street on both sides. The east trail goes all the way just past Barnard street behind some warehouses. The east end of the park also has many benches and picnic tables. Be sure to take full advantage and walk all the way to the west end. Read moreThis beautiful greenspace is a haven for wildfowl - yesterday we saw a heron roosting in a tree, and a whole colony of Canada Geese - several flocks with new offspring. There is also a lot of activity on the water - yachts, tugboats towing log booms, small pleasure craft - all this plus a clear view of aircraft approaching the airport. Read moreThis is a very pretty park that allows dogs off-leash. There is plenty of space to have a picnic or quiet time. The boardwalk is nice to walk on and it is a great place to watch the sunset. There are two main parking lots (free) plus plenty of street parking. Not many people know of the park other than locals who live around the area, or dog people. It is great for everyone. There is no playground for kids, but they will like the tugboats that go by and the sand beach, if you don't mind them...
