Great park by the water. Large open spaces, gravel trails, boardwalks, and beaches. Many dog owners bring their pets here. Two parking areas for cars, with bathrooms at the east parking, and parking all along the street on both sides. The east trail goes all the way just past Barnard street behind some warehouses. The east end of the park also has many benches and picnic tables. Be sure to take full advantage and walk all the way to the west end. The beaches have lots of logs to sit on and relax, and there are some viewing areas along the boardwalk. You can take the trails to one end and walk back on the...

This beautiful greenspace is a haven for wildfowl - yesterday we saw a heron roosting in a tree, and a whole colony of Canada Geese - several flocks with new offspring. There is also a lot of activity on the water - yachts, tugboats towing log booms, small pleasure craft - all this plus a clear view of aircraft approaching the airport. Last week we saw the Disney Make-a-Wish jet! There are plenty of benches and picnic tables, as well as many shady areas, and several meadows for dogs to cavort on. A very pleasant...

This is a very pretty park that allows dogs off-leash. There is plenty of space to have a picnic or quiet time. The boardwalk is nice to walk on and it is a great place to watch the sunset. There are two main parking lots (free) plus plenty of street parking. Not many people know of the park other than locals who live around the area, or dog people. It is great for everyone. There is no playground for kids, but they will like the tugboats that go by and the sand beach, if you don't mind them...

Just make sure you bring shoes with a good grip. I was walking around in running shoes and I was slipping and sliding eventually falling on my knee in near pidgeon position. It was a beautiful spot with a heron and as the sun set, the beautiful colours of the sky lit up providing a great backdrop. Dogs are very happy mixing with other dogs and running free. Lots of garbage cans to get rid of dog waste. Good shoes. Walker beware.

Good for kids and dogs. Dogs can go off-leash and there is a nice little beach for fetching. Good place for large gatherings. Eastward, a trail leads to the Milltown Bar & Grill. The only way to the westbound trail is along the Marine Drive Golf Club. Although there are No Trespassing signs, I have never been challenged when venturing in to the golf course along the shore.
