A great little neighbourhood cafe, but not (yet?) a destination. Having stopped in three times so far I'm very glad this is so close to my place. The women running it are so kind and you can really tell they're trying to create a familiar community atmosphere. I have seen them greet a couple regulars with such warmth. They are definitely still figuring things out - service was very scattered and slow the first time we visited with water glasses left empty, people waiting for bills etc. - but I've already seen an improvement both in attentiveness and speed for even the barrista and I bet they'll continue to improve. Food: I've only visited for breakfast and I am a creature of habit so I've only ordered the Benedicts - the smoked meat twice and the mushroom once. Smoked meat version is in the photo attached, with an add on of marble rye. The hollandaise needs some work in my view - very thin, not rich enough for my palate (but Tabasco balances it out well) - but the eggs are always poached perfectly. I preferred the mushroom to the smoked meat - the mushroom didn't compete with the subtle hollandaise. The little fruit cup is always fresh and varied. I wish the hash browns had an option for shredded, but no complaints for the chunks beyond preference (I'd personally love a bit of a crunchy surface from being fried in butter). Drinks: I've ordered the cappuccino, the Okinawa and the caramel macchiato. The latter is a bit too sweet for me but overall their baristas do a great job! SO creamy with great texture throughout, perfect amount of foam, they always throw a bit of latte art on top. I could see people stopping in just for their drinks. Definitely beats the Starbucks in Safeway. Price: Zero complaint. Everything is priced reasonably. Crowd: I've never had to wait for a table on the weekend, but it's also not entirely dead. Sunday mornings have been pretty busy, today is Saturday and there we four other tables. Atmosphere: It's a little janky with mismatched low quality furniture so I could see some people not being a fan but I truly feel like over time they'd improve it. They're just starting out and I'd give them some grace in that personally, especially since otherwise it's pretty nice. Soft music, friendly vibes. You can tell they're still figuring things out so I wouldn't advise you drive here to check it out at this current stage, but if you live in the neighbourhood pop in. They're so nice and I'm rooting for them.

Having recently discovered the newly opened AT Cafe, I’ve already had the pleasure of enjoying their takeaway breakfast not once, but twice in the past two days. Their Eggs Benedict is a must-try, and what makes the experience even more remarkable is their flexibility and willingness to accommodate substitutions and adjustments. This level of customer service is rare and highly appreciated, especially in a neighborhood breakfast spot. From the moment they opened their doors, AT Cafe has shown a commitment to quality, both in the food they serve and the service they provide. The food is delicious, with each dish prepared to perfection, indicating their dedication to creating a memorable dining experience. It’s refreshing to see such enthusiasm and attention to detail, especially in a new establishment. The staff’s friendliness further enhances the overall experience. They go above and beyond to ensure your meal is exactly how you like it, making you feel valued and taken care of. This, combined with their exceptional crafted coffee, makes AT Cafe a standout choice for anyone looking for a quality breakfast on the go.

I had a terrible experience at AT Café and wouldn’t recommend it. We arrived around 10:45 AM and were told the kitchen was backed up, so we decided to sit and have coffee while waiting. The coffee was disappointing, and after about 20 minutes, the waitress finally came to take our order. It took another 20 minutes for just the pancakes to arrive, while the rest of our order never came. After waiting an additional 20 minutes with no updates, we decided to leave. When we went to pay, the staff showed no concern or apology for the poor service, only rushing to cancel the remaining food. To top it off, they charged us fully for what we did receive, despite the overall terrible experience. The lack of professionalism and customer care was unacceptable. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for good service and a decent dining experience.

I side with one of the other reviews. This ain't no 5-star joint. Those other reviews are probably friends 'n family or customers with no standards. There's nothing particularly wrong with the food, but it's barely worth getting out of bed for. It's like they just made a Costco run and piecing together a meal for you. I'm not sure how much of the stuff they actually cook vs just dumping it out of a packet and warming it up. One of the teishoku came with tamago and it was clear it was pre-cooked, pre-made stuff they just chopped up. The edamame was tasteless. The "famous wild salmon" burger, I had doubts it was even salmon. It was some machine formed meat patty with a vaguely fish like flavour. None of the stuff was considered great food, I'd wager it's close to Ikea level. Ok, well, the cappuccino was ok and generous portion for the price these days. Also none of our party got sick or bloated afterwards, but them's low bars to clear. The staff was eager and pleasant but they were clearly inexperienced and a bit frazzled or stressed. Oh and at least the restaurant is neat & clean for now. But would I return? Nope, totally not worth my stomach space. There's nothing innovative or particularly interesting here. Hard pass. 3-stars is...

After doing some shopping at Safeway this morning I found myself hungry and decided to try the new AT Café that was having it's grand opening today. Got there before 11am and was surprised to be the only person there. About 15 minutes later a few more people came in. One girl was serving and she is very friendly and attentive. I ordered the clam chowder, bad boy burger and the chicken wings. I got a free order of fries - the promotion was if you spend $5 you got free fries or a drink. Everything I had was beyond good. The clam chowder was homemade, creamy and delicious. I'd have liked to have seen more clams as I had maybe 2 or 3 in my bowl but it's a minor thing. Burger was awesome - had bacon, cheese, mushrooms, lettuce, tomatoes and an onion ring on it. It was filling. Fries were crispy and had a very nice seasoning on them. Excellent fries. The chicken wings were crispy and flavourful. You could tell they were marinated. They were so juicy. Everything was served hot and fresh. The menu has something for everyone - I was impressed with the menu. The breakfasts a couple ordered looked amazing. If this place stays consistent with what I've seen today we'll have a true gem on...
