I spend over $300 of lululemon clothes every few months and I'm a Sweat collective member. My experience at the W4th store lately has been nothing short of disappointing.
I met up with my partner at the flagship W4th location after work. Because I commuted by bike that day, I came in dressed in my bright and ugly commuter jacket and balaclava. Safe to say that I wasn't looking my best. All the employees ignored us while obviously checking in with other customers in the store. It got to the point where the male employee would check in with another employee standing next to us, make eye contact with me and then turn around and walk away without saying a word. I normally dress more professional (I wear head to toe in lululemon's athleisure at work actually) and just because I didn't dress like a kits snob, I was treated like I couldn't afford anything in the store.
I've been to their other location in Metrotown and how I'm treated there is way more consistent and respectful.

Read moreI am so confused by this store, are the employees told to never say no or did I just get a super people-pleasing staff?
I came in to check out an item I saw online . Staff were awesome and helpful. The item was not available in store - no problem. Then I asked if I could just pay for it with other stuff I planned on buying in-store (another store I visited recently offered and did that for me).
The girl goes - yes, I can sell you a gift card and you can buy it online. Then I asked again, and she says yes - you can use my cellphone and your credit card to buy it...super frustrating. Just say no.
I would not have gotten angry or frustrated if she said no - its ok to say no, if its not something your store does.
I hope this is not a store policy to never say 'no', because it was super unhelpful.
It would have been ok if she said no and I had to buy it online at home, it was just that the employee that helped was so awesome I wanted to give the sale...
Read moreI recently visited the store, and unfortunately my experience was disappointing. Although I love the brand and the quality of their products, I found the staff to be very pushy within the first 2 minutes of entering the store- it was uncomfortable.
When I got to the cash to pay for my purchases, I asked the cashier if they had a smaller size of a particular pant that I was interested in. She looked annoyed and rushed through my transaction, saying that if I wasn't sure about the pant, I shouldn't buy it. I spent over $300 at the store, and I felt like my concerns were dismissed and not taken seriously.
I understand that retail can be high-pressure environment, but I expect more professionalism and customer service from a store like Lululemon. I hope that the staff can be more empathetic and accommodating in the future, as it can make a huge difference for...
