Hip Baby — Local services in Vancouver

Walked into Hip Baby looking for a last-minute baby shower gift this past Sunday. There were two employees working in the shop and I was the only customer. Both employees glanced my way as I walked in but made no acknowledgement of a customer entering, let alone saying a quick "Hello". I was ready to make a purchase as I was on a tight timeline but after hearing the telephone manner of one of the employees being blatantly rude to a customer asking to speak with the owner over the phone, I decided to head elsewhere on West 4th (Crocodile Baby). Working as a retail manager for many years, I was quite taken aback by my short but impactful experience in store... aren't Baby/Children's stores supposed to carry a little bit of joy?! I walked in ready to spend with little to no help needed on my end and left feeling that perhaps Hip Baby needed to make some better...

I have shopped at hip baby many times- First for gifts for my friends having kids and now for my own children and every time I have gone, the customer service has been wonderful.
