We went here a few times. The first time the calamari was super tough + overcooked and still had the stringy membrane. We sent it back. Improper, rookie calamari preparation - inedible. The rest of the food was okay. STAY AWAY from that dish though. They were really shocked by our complaint. So weird. The second time I asked for no onions in my chow mein — Sooooo they served me just plain greasy, cold noodles with NOTHING ELSE, no other flavors sauces, pepper, just grease. How totally sad and absolutely absent minded of the chef to punish their paying customers by serving them food like this. I even said, if it’s premade, that’s fine and I’d pick them out. Really weird... Overall, this kind of cheap, inedible food service forced me to give my low stars. I have no trust in cooks that don’t care about serving inedible crap to their customers. When stuff like this happens in two different visits, you don’t deserve the trust and MONEY of the public anymore. Goodluck staying open.

During my recent visit to Pho Don, I had an exceptional dining experience. I ordered the beef briskets, which were tender, flavourful, and perfectly complemented by the rich and aromatic broth. The briskets were cooked to perfection, offering a delightful mix of juicy texture and savoury goodness. My companions enjoyed their pho, and they couldn’t stop raving about the depth of flavour in the broth and the freshness of the ingredients. The noodles were silky and the meat was tender, creating a comforting and satisfying meal. The service at Pho Don was great—prompt, friendly, and attentive, which greatly enhanced our overall experience. The staff ensured our needs were met, and their warm hospitality created a welcoming atmosphere. I’d rate our overall experience a 10/10, and I highly recommend Pho Don to anyone looking for authentic, delicious pho and excellent service.

Solid pho joint. Extensive menu...not just typical Vietnamese noodle house fare. Plenty of seating. Late hours til 2am. $5 bzzrs. Lots of rare beef slices in pho. This is a definite plus for me and I don't get why some may complain about this. Soup temp can be upped a few notches...true. And I get why some may complain about the service as it is hit or miss but I wouldn't go so far as to say it is to the point of rudeness. Also, keep in mind you are not there paying for impeccable table side white linen service either. Just about every main course is $10 - $15 bucks. So take it with a grain of salt if your meal isn't served with a smile for a buck fifty or two dollar tip. Having said this, I do receive decent and prompt service each time I'm there. Perhaps next time I'll see if they can provide hotter soup.

Just go to the corridor to the washroom. You will see where you are RIGHT NOW. I ordered a pho with brisket and tendon, tripe without fatty meat and got one with Steak and brisket :) Okay. I can live with that. The soup was not hot enough and the dish size for large was not big, so it was tricky to cook the raw meats in the broth. The bean sprout was not fresh and most of them have black bottom root side. My friend had a vermicelli bowl with pork and spring roll. It was a standard dish with small amount of meat. The place was spacious and there are free parking in the complex. The parking space per car was small, so you will need to park your cars carefully. The price was $16-17 for a large bowl which was significantly sized down comparing other pho places and $18 for a vermicelli bowl which also got small amount of meat. This place can't compare with VN guy in the Brentwood area or good other ones on Kingsway. It is right across the PNE, and you can expect similar quality foods with similar prices as foods at the Fair. The service is nothing to mention for a pho place. There is nothing but typical pho place service. The reason I can't put more than 1 star(I would put minus 100) was The washroom and the corridor going to the washroom area. The entire area itself was smelled GROSS with garbage, some sorts of food preparations, old environment and less or no ventilation and I couldn't even wash my hands well with breathing. I could see all the dirty things here and there on the way. How can anyone eat after it? I am wondering how those environment could pass the food safety. What a Gross...

After attending the Pentatonix concert, a few friends and I decided have a late night dinner at Pho Don. Everything was good up until a friend's Crisy Duck with Rice was served with a sauce with peanuts, in which he is allergic to (we informed him too). We asked if we can change the sauce but the male waiter straight up said "no, we made it already". At that time, we did not think of asking to pay extra for another sauce, but he could have suggested something. After debating whether to eat the rice with or without the sauce, my friend decided to ask a waitress to change the sauce to go with the rice. She gladly told us what the options were and allowed us to change it to a curry sauce with no extra charge. Afterwards, the male waiter glanced at least 3 times st our table which made me feel offended because it seemed like he was glaring for more than 5 seconds. The food was great, been here several times, always loved their karage and deep-fried banana with ice cream. However this night left me with a poor impression on their customer service. Towards the end, there was confusion with the billing because one friend left first and paid for the wrong order, but what pissed me off was that he (the same guy) had no intension of resolving it quickly. He spoke to us like we're buddy buddy and said to myself and one friend: "you can pay for the rest and he can just pay you back." ..... Because he didn't know how to do a refund. Even if he was new, in not sure, but his attitude was below average expectations. I do hope he reads this and find that there is room for...
