A rare large park area that includes areas to picnic, sport, walk your dog and more. Oak park offers space for soccer, tennis, basketball, softball, and much more. It is not unusual to find people playing frisbee, practicing Tai Chi, running around the track, or celebrating birthdays. Most of these amenities are due to the park sharing space with the Marpole Community Centre for the past 65 years located in the northwest of the park adjacent to a playground. It is also good to note that this is one of the few parks that also offers public restrooms near the community centre as well.

There are 2 play structures. One being geared towards kids that are walking to 4ish with a set of easy to climb stairs and height appropriate ladders and slides. The other is better suited to 3-4+. My 3 year old is tall and has practiced on the first structure and now is confidently climbing the ladders on the second structure as there are 3 slides and he loves to slide!
In the warm months there is a water splash park available. We did a lot of splashing in the summer! I love that our son enjoys this park. It's...
