Good time there as always. Nice little parking lot is convenience plus surrounding parking. No problem. It's a spray park. A water park. Good for the kids. There's always little parties going on here. Public washrooms. Pretty accessible. Safe place. Nice neighborhood. Not a lot of people sticking needles in this neighborhood. I recommend it if you're wanting to get off the beating path.

Water park is open now (COVID). Restrooms are on site, designated free parking is on the north end of this park. Water fountain also working. There is a small but fun playground. Enough grass to run around, some tables and benches. The fence bordering the park on the east is decorated by the "tree of life" art project It's just hard to see if you don't look for it.

Has a great (especially for the toddler crowd) spray park. Water streams are not very aggressive and there is a "stream" which is great for staying cool.

A rare large park area that includes areas to picnic, sport, walk your dog and more. Oak park offers space for soccer, tennis, basketball, softball, and much more. It is not unusual to find people playing frisbee, practicing Tai Chi, running around the track, or celebrating birthdays. Most of these amenities are due to the park sharing space with the Marpole Community Centre for the past 65 years located in the northwest of the park adjacent to a playground. It is also good to note that this is one of the few parks that also offers public restrooms near the community centre as well.

One of the biggest appealing features of this park is its central location in the Marpole Community. The City of Vancouver is currently reconsidering and redeveloping the placement of the community centre which may impact the size and amenities this park offers as development increases to the north and south of the park...

This is not a beautiful park. It has a terrible run-down community center.

So why is this place rated five stars? This park carries fond memories from childhood to today. I grew up near the park and played baseball and soccer. Played tennis on the tennis courts. Took many courses at the community center and had a very good instructor teach me bridge when I was in my late teens. As a young kid, I remember my mother sending me to Painting in the Park for kids. This started my great interest in art.

Watched my son go through a similar cycle of baseball and soccer. And now so many years later, I watch the grand-kids play at the park.

So the place is kind of run-down but full of extraordinary memories. I thank the City of Vancouver...

We love Oak Park! Our son enjoys the options for play! This park has a great swing set, with 2 buckets seats + 2 tradition swings and a tire swing. There are 2 play structures. One being geared towards kids that are walking to 4ish with a set of easy to climb stairs and height appropriate ladders and slides. The other is better suited to 3-4+. My 3 year old is tall and has practiced on the first structure and now is confidently climbing the ladders on the second structure as there are 3 slides and he loves to slide!

In the warm months there is a water splash park available. We did a lot of splashing in the summer! I love that our son enjoys this park. It's...
