I’m not usually a big fan of desserts, as regular readers of my reviews would know, but this Chinese dessert shop is definitely worth recommending.
Our dine-in order for three, plus two takeaway items, came to around $100, which felt a bit pricey. However, the quality of the desserts was excellent—not overly sweet, just right—so it was well worth it.
If we’re talking strictly about desserts, this place deserves five stars. The reason I’m giving it four is because we also ordered curry fish balls, which were disappointing. The flavor didn’t really soak in; I’d suggest they refine the recipe rather than just adding curry sauce to it.
Back to the desserts—I shared a dessert platter with my wife, which featured nine different treats, each with its own unique taste. It’s a great choice for those who love variety, though it’s even better for a group of three. Personally, I really enjoyed the mung bean soup—it was much smoother and more refined than what you’d find elsewhere. The other desserts were also worth trying.
My son ordered a mango slush, which I didn’t taste myself, but both he and my wife said it...

We ordered a bowl of hot steamed milk custard, a wooden bucket tofu for two, VitaSoy milk with red bean bulldog (cold), and a dish of curry fish balls/fish tofu, Sui mai, and rice rolls. All of them tasted excellent! One thing they could improve on was to decrease the sugar in the steam milk custard. It was extremely sweet. We wish the dish of curry fish balls/fish tofu, Sui mai, and rice roll would be a little bit bigger. We paid the same price at Aberdeen Food Court but the portion was so much more and it tasted excellent as well.
We got here around 7:15pm. The restaurant was quite full but we were lucky to get a table right away. When it was around 8pm, A LOT OF people were waiting at the foyer or outside the restaurant. Whenever we drive by, this restaurant is always busy indeed.

Coconut pudding mahjong tile with edible Rice paper money are very instagrammable. They tasted better than I expected as well. Some people called them bland, but I don't like my desserts too sweet. Its such an accurate replica that we felt like we could play with it. .The coconut pudding is soft though. When we stabbed it with a fork and released it you could not see the punctures. The underneath side is done with a red bean pudding. It also comes with a red bean dipping sauce.
They have the "seung pay lai" which is also called the double boiled milk dessert. I'm not exactly sure how its made, but its reminiscent of a thickened custard or a very light pudding. This version was a bit thicker than I would have liked, but its nice to find a restaurant that will serve it.
The other thing they are well known for is the vita soy red bull drink.
For an #instagrammable #Vancouver, I would definitely recommend coming here.
