Super sad to write this review but unfortunately I am extremely unhappy and uncomfortable with the results. I booked an appointment with Annie mid October (after reading the reviews and seeing some photos of her work). I asked to bring my blonde highlights back up, and get rid of the orange. I specifically mentioned that I did not want to see any orange/reddish at all, as I completely dislike that color on me. First appointment was a completely fiasco. Highlights were barely visible, I had a layer of chocolate all over my roots, portions of my hair were not even highlighted. The work done was as dark as my natural hair but in a brownish way. As soon as I saw the color, I knew that it was not what I asked for. At first, I felt like she got a bit mad but then she turned it around very quickly and did everything she could to make it up to me which I truly appreciate it. She took completely accountability for it and made me an appointment the very next day to fix it up. She even brought a Senior hairstylist to help her out with my hair. They lightened my hair and highlights were visible, that day I was super happy compared to the first time. It looked blonde as I asked for. Three weeks forward (today), my hair has completely turned orange and reddish, mind you I only washed my hair once a week/max twice a week. This should not be happening at all. It’s way too fast for the blonde to have turned into orange like that. The tone/color has completely faded away or the lightener was not left on long enough. I feel completely uncomfortable and disappointed with this color. They graciously offered me a discount for the mistake, which I’m grateful for but sadly, now I have to pay 350+ for a color correction. On top of the $200+ I had already paid to get this done. Not to mention, the damage I’m putting my hair through with the relighting in such a short time. This is worst than when I first walked into the salon to get my hair done. It’s everything I dislike and didn’t asked for. I reached out to Annie over Instagram and was left on seen....
Read moreNever go there! An absolute nightmare!
A friend of mine suggested that I go to Space Salon because they offered Olaplex treatments. I was not prepared for the following events. Not only was I given the option to go home with damp hair or wet hair (while feeling sick- didn't want to cancel on them last minute) but the second time around when they were supposed to redeem themselves involved, burning my entire ear, what I feel to be emotional abuse by the stylist Lyndon, and total and utter disregard of a hairstyle I wanted was a nightmare!! Lyndon became very rude with me saying, "Listen, you're not telling me what you want", after I showed her a picture!! I went there on my birthday and left crying and traumatized. I ended up doing my own hair. Never go here!!!
In response to the owner:
It wasn't a threat to post a review as I find posting an honest review to be helpful to others. I never asked him to fire Lyndon but she should have apologized to me. When the owner said if there is anything I can do in future after much consideration I gave him the option to do my hair and he never responded. I thought this would be a more postitve experience as he is the owner and would most likely care more about his clients instead he slanders my character. I don't appreciate someone slandering my character when I am a client and they don't even know me and I was only stating how I felt. I wish him all the best and will not be recommending anyone to this salon in future due to lack of respect and not wanting anyone else to feel the way I did during my two experiences there. Also, I was more interested in having an updo which they readily agreed to as I didn't want to leave with wet hair again since I was a little...
Read moreI went to space Salon to get some natural highlights with lighter ashy tone, after spending 4 hours of my Saturday there, what they did was intense flashy highlights, almost like someone drew lines on my head! The lady pulled my hair while putting the paint on my hair! I went home and booked another session to fix it for the week after! I took time off from work and went back and apparently she was double booked! She talked to me very briefly and said she will put toner on my hair to make it look more natural. She put the toner and left me with another person for rinsing. She did not come back to check on me as she was busy with her other client! All in all, my hair looks like what it was originally before I went to Space Salon (even darker) without any highlights which means I paid more than $250 and came back home with almost the same look except the cut that I am happy with! I was surprised and shocked how they treated me the second time I went there! I understand miscommunication might happen sometimes and l wanted to give them another opportunity to fix things but they double booked me without any attention about my concerns and no care that I have been their client for almost 2 years! All in all, My head still hurts because of pulling my hair too much and I have very thin and fragile hair, after going through these intense processes, I need to wait couple of months before even thinking about getting highlights again which is disappointing! UPDATE: I am updating my review here as I met Michael (the owner) today! He was very responsive and reactive to rectify the situation and gave a full refund! I have opted my review to 4 stars, as I believe in Michael and what he does,...
