People have lost the sense of good customer service. I walked in and asked where I could find a simple lock. The person pointed me to the wrong isle as they though i was looking for a door lock and they are both in completely different places. I was in a hurry so i went back to the teller and asked if i could get some to assistance to find a simple LOCK since I couldn't find the product at the isle that i was directed. The person again told me to wait at the wong isle that someone was going to help me. The assistant still was looking for a door lock when I specifically asked just for a simple self contained locking mechanism commonly known as a lock. The HD assistant couldn't understand the difference between a door lock and a lock. So he says to me sorry, i can't help you. I tried. So i started to freak out trying to explain to the staff member that it is literally impossible that Home Depot doesn't sell locks. So i asked him to call someone that could speak english and that knows the difference between a door lock and a lock so he starts to help another customer and tells me to hold on. OMG!!! I mean I called this staff member to the isle to ASSIST ME! I was the only person on that isle. He should have never let me go without 1) finding my product or 2) finding someone to help me find the product. So i had to be firm and say no. You are not helping someone else until you help me first. I called you here to help me and you are ignoring me now because you can't understand me? He was like hoping i will go away. I was like OMG!!!!! That is not fair to any customer. I had to literally find a picture of a lock on the internet and show it to the staff member so he could understand the difference between a lock and a door lock so he says to me, ah i know what you are looking for and takes me 2 isles down. I hope this story helps you train your staff member how to treat customers. I lived in USA for 12 years and Canada for 10 years and i always used to say that Canadian customer service was way above USA by far but that was a long time ago. Today, the reality is different. You have a bunch of people that think just because the have a job, they are doing great, and no one cares anymore to be proud of...
Read moreWent of this location to look for the new generation of DeWalt. Tough 2.0 wrench set the metric 18 piece and the SAE 17 piece. None were available at home Depot. The new ones are only available online and purchasing through the states. Hopefully they come in at some point.
Then I asked around if I can use my gift card to make a purchase online and was told that the gift card must complete either the full transaction. Otherwise the gift card will not apply to the checkout.
The only way the gift card can be used is if you go in store and make the purchase there. If the item is not available then they can certainly order it and deduct the gift card amount from the total price of the product.
So my question is simply what's the point of having a gift card if you can't use it online!
Just one of the many home Depot scams. Also this location seems to be dwindling in both product. So if you're really looking for anything specific from DeWalt that don't even bother, they do have the the power tool sets but are probably either older generation which doesn't make any sense. Or if you're looking for something specific, don't bother, you're not going to...
Read moreOmg, its like pulling teeth to get any sort of help in this place. No one helps you. I was looking for lights and was in the section for 40 minutes staring at the box on the top shelf with no one to help. The workers just walk by you as if you're invisible and no says "can I help you" Thank goodness for Kooshal who had just finished helping someone else, he took the time to get a ladder and helped me just as I was about to walk out of the store. He was very kind. Mind you his coworkers were standing off to the side doing nothing but refused to help. This is also not the first time I've experience this, its an ongoing, everyday thing. The workers does not care to help anyone or offer any help. Its always the same person who helps everyone, the...
