Giant Tiger — Attraction in Vaughan

I just wanted the people of Vaughan to go to a real CANADIAN STORE. This CANADIAN CHAIN, started in my home town of OTTAWA, ONTARIO. You will find deals here, like NO OTHER store in Ontario. They favour CANADIAN COMPANIES, which for me, I love. The staff also will stop and help you, UNLIKE Walmart, for x ample. The staff is FRIENDLY, and accommodating, and that has been since the very beginning of Giant Tiger. You aren’t shrugged off, you mean something to them, they want you to come back. And if you can’t find a product, ask to speak to the Manager. I have learned over the years, management will bring in certain foods if there is enough people wanting it. I met the NEW STORE MANAGER, her name is SIMONE. I love that she is a real go getter, and is strict about how clean and organized she wants this store to be. It is about time we made sure the old rules of NEATNESS AND ORGANIZATION are followed again. CANADA was always a CLEAN and ORGANIZED country. Great selection of items from groceries, clothing to cleaning supplies and personal care, has everything I usually need in one store which makes it very convenient!

The employees are great depending on the day as some have been so nice! There is a girl who works there with braided/cornrow hair style, very mean demeanor. Doesn’t smile, doesn’t say Hi and will just stand with her arms folded at the exit staring at you the entire time. Doesn’t ask you if you need help or anything, just watching you the entire time at self checkout with a weird look. She wasn’t security as she helped the customer prior, which prompted me to use self checkout. Very odd behaviour, never seen anything like that before and I shop a lot. Doesn’t hurt to smile and be friendly!

Most places will charge you for bags now, but 20 cents for just a paper bag, with no handles!...

I've been here a couple times. The place is great. The general manager is also great. The staff however needs better training. The cashier told us that even though the shelf said one price, it's scanning at a different price. Called us a liar and I was going to walk over and show her the price of the product. Then proceeded to tell us the pepsi that was on sle for 2.99 that is a 6 pack, was per bottle and tried selling us each pepsi at 2.99. If they don't want to sell products at a certain price then a price tag walk should be done everyday to...
