There is no end to how helpful and wonderful the people who work for this place are!!! I have worked with them several times and they never cease to amaze. I have emailed them for in store appointments as well as product suggestions and info on how to do an in-store pick up order online! The response is always prompt, detailed and helpful. If the first person you contact can’t figure it out, they will make sure you get the answer. You never have to wait long and the available product list is huge!! I rely on Ben Nye products when doing make up for my stage actors. Not only are the products extremely high quality and one of the most reputable names in the stage make up game but they are hard to come by. Hokey Pokey sells them all!!!! They have every product and colour for every character, skin tone, skin type as well as make up removers, toners, applicators and so much more to bring your character to life and fully to the stage!! And if you don’t know what you need, there is always an expert in store with expert advice! In store pick up and online orders are a breeze!! Everything comes perfectly and ready to go. I just spent three fabulous days with Nadia for some one on one lessons on the specific face painting skills I have been having trouble learning on my own from you tube and from group classes with another teacher. Nadia is a very skilled, patient and kind teacher and I would highly recommend learning with her. I felt cery comfortable and the pace was perfect. She obviously loves teaching and had even prepared feedback on my designs that she found on my facebook page which was super helpful. She had a variety of colours and brands of paint for me to try and practice templates to take home as well. If there was a six-star review on here, that would be my pick for Lucy the clown! We hired Lucy through Hokey Pokey for our son’s Luca 3rd birthday party, and she was absolutely amazing. Her face and tattoo-style painting was fantastic (see pic below - Luca asked for a dinosaur tattoo in addition to a full-face lion painting). Her balloons were also were also great — she had some neat metallic colours that made for great swords. We had 8 very happy toddlers running around the house looking adorable in Lucy’s face-paint creations and one ecstatic birthday boy :) We’re already thinking of hiring Hokey Pokey for the next birthday.
