WHAT AN AMAZING PARTY!
Simon and his team at LaseraMaxx did an outstanding job with our kids' Birthday Party, and the package was excellent.
This is a completely new experience and one I hope to have again.
We got the 2 hours package with 2 games, which was perfect. It's not too short and not too long. 2 games plus 1 hour in the party room and a little arcade time, which we ended up using after our room time was over.
The kids had a blast playing Laser Tag, and we even got a team game in which was different and really cool. Their maze design is also very well arranged with downstairs, upstairs, some hidden corners, and lots of walkways.
I came in second both times, so I really need to step up my Laser game.
Whitby is a bit of a drive from where I live, but I think the kids would agree when I say it was worth the drive.
They do corporate events as well and I think their pricing is pretty fair.
It's just too bad they only have one pizza option and no other real food options other than the standard canned pop and small snacks. We brought our own food and they were very accommodating with keeping our cold items in their fridge and the room had a storage locked. The room itself was pretty good. We fit 20 kids plus some Adults comfortably. Maybe a little tight, but nothing a little sideways walking couldn't handle when handing out food.
Original review removed. Below details are experiential from the initial review to the current experience above.
You will have noticed there was a reply by the owner of LaserMaxx. The company is under new ownership, and I have had some great conversation with him about the changes they have made.
Note that we are going to give them another shot at a birthday party coming up at the end of May! If all works out well, you will notice the below * review disappear, and a new, updated review will appear based on the new experience we have.
Crossing our fingers, the party goes well, but so far, the new owner has been nothing but accommodating!

Read moreI went to Lasermaxx Whitby this past Thursday for my daughter's 6th birthday party and had the BEST experience. The staff were super friendly and supportive in every way.
On arrival, they helped take our cake and balloons from the car and stored the cake and candles in the refrigerator while we played. Our room was ready to go and we had a very large space that was all set up for us. Waivers were signed in advance.
Throughout, they were so kind and lovely with the kids and provided a fun experience for them and their parents, assigning nicknames for the games, and helping as needed with harnesses. Some larger kids could wear the harness themselves. Others went through the laser games with their parents wearing the harness and the kids pulling the trigger on the lazers and zapping their friends.
In between games, the kids got a kick out of their scores and played arcade games with the free-game card provided for us. We were able to play our own kids bop music in the room with my portable stereo, bring our own juice boxes, and they assisted with sharing pizza and lighting and cutting the cake for us. They even helped distribute it.
I can't thank everyone there enough for the pleasurable and supportive experience. Our guests were really comfortable the entire time and remarked how much fun they were having. Don't doubt if you should have your next party here. Do it! I even saw alcohol in the cooler on my way out, so adult parties or date nights would work here too.
THANK YOU LASERMAXX. We'll be back and will be singing your praises to all the families...
Read moreThis is a smaller size lazer warfare facility with lots of nearby parking, Shell Gas station, Tim Hortons, and Starbucks next door.
There are two party rooms that can be booked.
I was there on an early November Saturday, and the place was busy.
There are only 7 small tables for parents to sit while waiting for their children. Unfortunately, half the tables are unofficially reserved by people living their pop l/water bottles or other items on the table. Goid luck finding a place to sit. You might want to brink your own seat.
There are a few basic arcade type games, nothing exciting. A well stocked pop machine seems to be well utilized.
It is well staffed, and that's a plus, but they're all behind the reception counter. It is under new ownership according to the big sign outside. If I were the owner, I'd be having my staff making sure the patrons have clean tables to sit at and that they're being taken care of.
The bathrooms are cleanly designed and maintained.
Though there is indoor skydiving facility within eyesight, I believe the only reason LaserMaxx is busy is because there isn't enough nearby competition given the market demand for children's (aged 4-15) recreational activities, especially for parties.
However, the bottom line is that I find myself surrounded by very happy and excited children eager to strap on their lasers and show their predatory skills. Who's to argue with human nature.
