Northgate Shopping Centre — Attraction in Winnipeg

Very convenient, good atmosphere, lots of different venues, variety, people seem very friendly around the shopping mall. Save On Foods is here and they are bringing in organic foods and they have lovely colors throughout their store. Decorative, makes a difference to me, anyway. Prairie Eye Care is here also. Best Eye Doctors and vision glasses, best selection and beautiful, friendly staff! They also have a Dental center around back, movie theater and Wand car wash. There's a gas station, Domo! The lovely Gentlemen there, service you well! There's Dairy Queen for the Ice cream lovers out there and Who can forget healthy Booster Juice! Yah! Many different restaurants and finally the entrance into the mall was made better to access! There are also Banks in the mall. Bread Basket is here also for those who want a great deal on bread. I will check them out if they bring in the gluten free. Haven't bought from them since I am gluten free. But I am sure their flat breads are still available. Which I can tolerate from time to time. Love the new NORTHGATE...

The mall itself is small and not really a mall. It has a number of smaller vendors that are accessed from outside the "mall" structure. That however, is not why I'm giving this mall such a low rating. This "mall" development has for the past decade focused more on jamming small pop up retailers in to and already cramped parking lot than they have about making the "mall" and actual mall. This s one of the worst parking lots in the city!! Expect to be in near miss after near miss, long lines of cars that are gridlocked as traffic comes in off McPhillips and expect to have a pedestrian or two walk out in front of your car as they exit Booster Juice (its not their fault, its their only option to leave). This...

They got rid of the walk-in mall almost a decade ago and blemished the front parking lot with new buildings when they could have built more on the back of the building, where now there's a LOT of unused parking lot space they could have used. And now the front parking lot is laid out in an unnecessarily annoying manner -- You have to drive the far way around the Jollibee just to get to the TD bank. If not for the barricades, you could just turn right after entering from Mapleglen and there you'd be. Sometimes the parking lot is severely congested.

I can understand developing and adding stores. But the individuals responsible for the execution of the project...
