I was in recently with my girlfriend and we both had the Deluxe Chicken Burger and fries. After placing our order, (cost was rather expensive at $22.37), we got a beeper thing and went to find a table.
There were only 4 people in the restaurant area, and yet most all tables were dirty. So, sadly, we had to clean our table with their sanitizer and cloths ourselves. That was not cool.
After about 6 min., the beeper thing went off indicating our order was ready. To our surprise, once we started to eat, the burgers and fries were NOT hot, they were just "warm," and this really took away from our food experience.
With the "ready" beeper thing, we expected our food was freshly cooked and would be hot. But that wasn't the case for some strange reason. Instead, the burgers and fries were lukewarm.
Our chicken burgers were very, very bland, I mean VERY bland. The sauce was practically flavorless and the seasoning on the chicken burger was equally as flavorless. I was shocked. A McChicken sandwich has them beat by a country mile!
The fries were okay, typical processed French fry taste, a cut above McDonalds, not as good as Wendy's. To me they were almost identical to Burger King. Nowhere near home-made style quality like you'd get at a family burger joint like; George's, Cindy's, or The Burger Place.
Overall I am giving Jolliebe's a rating of 3 stars our of 5. The service is slow, food is just okay, (it isn't hot to the table and seriously lacks any flavor). Bottom line is that there are plenty of other fast-food places that are cheaper and have...
Read moreWe ordered one bucket treat B and a family pack size of Palapok. When my daughter tried to ask for bowls for 4, she pretended not seeing her and then pretended don’t understand what’s she asking. My daughter speaks English fluently. When I went to help my daughter to ask for it, the MANAGER said they don’t have it?????? What? after a moment, she finally said she could gave us two of the paper bowls. But it’s not enough if you know the treat B also come with a family size of spaghetti. I am super annoyed by her attitude. Then my husband also went to ask for plates to use( cos we are group of 4, but only two bowls we got) she also rejected it. Then my husband has to tell her what we ordered and insisted to have some help otherwise how could we eat it? anyway, very bad experience in this branch. I am not mad, just Disappointed.
My daughter said “your spaghetti is the best, your service is the worst”
My son said “your chicken is great, your customer service and the attitude ruined everything and shame on you...
Read moreService is pretty quick an effecient. They use a buzzer system so that you can find a table and don't crowd the counter. The restaurant is pretty much always busy, not to mention pretty loud, so I'd probably recommend taking it to go. You'll be the hero of any potluck you bring it to.
As for the food, I'd say it's pretty much at the top of fried chicken in Winnipeg. The spicy flavour has legitimate heat to it, and it was flavourful and moist. You also get a gravy with most if not all chicken orders, which is a nice touch, but the chicken doesn't really need it, to be honest.
The palabok is, by default, the best fast food version of the traditional dish you're going to get. The noodles are a little thin in my opinion, but that might just be preference.
The sides were fine, (tried the mash potatoes and rice), but honestly just stick to the chicken and make a fresh pot of rice at home. The mango pie is super sweet, so keep that in mind if...
