I came here 2 times only. I usually go to another location (st vital or polo park). At this location, I have been "scammed" twice. First time I came, I was in bit of a hurry and when I asked for help (for a product that was not stocked on shelves and they had to open the drawer thingy to take it), they had given me the wrong thing and I hadn't realised it until I got home. But I used it either way since it was just a different color lipstick not a big deal.
2nd time I went yesterday. I planned to buy a lot of things but this time wasn't in a hurry so I made sure to look at it before getting it. Same issue the items weren't stocked. I got a body wash and a foundation. For eg when I did a color test for foundation with the lady, she told me the name of the color that matched and but when she opened the drawer to look for what matched me. She "panicked" cause it was not in stock there either (she didn'teven bother to tell me and I wouldn'teven mind at all), then she stood up, tried a few other colors on her hand to find the closest color to what matched me then handed me a different color from what matched me. I told her and she was like "oh sorry I said the wrong color earlier... this is the right one". I was like whatever (cause I knew she lied) then I walked away from the spot and came back a few mins later and kept the foundation back. I didn't create a scene about it. But what annoys me now, when I went to get my bodywash, same thing product was not stocked. And I asked another employee (not the same one as before) to open drawer and check for me and the other employee did same thing and handed me a different scent from what I asked. When I told her, she was like smiling coyly as if nothing happened. I just left and went to st vital instead tbh.
What annoys me the most is that they lied and tried to cover up and I was calm and didn't even argue or anything and because of that they behaved as if nothing happened. That's...
Read moreIf there was minus a minus 1 I would give that. I rarely write reviews but I can’t stop myself in this case. I would rather swallow glass rather than to go back. I work in retail and customer service so I understand long, busy days when you don’t want to come to work. Retail is a beast on its own. But if you have to come into an environment that you genuinely do not enjoy or understand then get ready for hell. I was greeted abruptly but at least with effort of kindness when I walked in. I never wear makeup when I shop and I usually wear sweats of workout gear. So I went today looking like a you not I felt like I got fkng financially profiled!!!!! I’ve been to this store 3 times and each time I got the same treatment. I will never return to this location. I went to St.v location to have my transaction fixed and I was lucky enough to find that Julia was working there today. I pulled her aside and told her all the details. And she was sooooo kind to me and apologized. She was thoughtful enough to convey the message to her team while I was shopping there. On the way out the manager came up to me and apologized and asked me if I was ok and what happened there. They told me I can come see them any time and they are there to help me. Employees like Julia and todays st.v team are the reason I would shop at Sephora. But only with them and people like them, who understand that people are worth more than their superficial physical appearance. Shame on kenaston location. Just...

(might be a longer read) i was in search of a hair product that would reduce frizz but keep the curls so i asked for help and the woman takes me to a wall of product and gets me to try one. it’s decent and i tell her that but i knew it wasn’t in my price range so i just suggested something cheaper and she was receptive (and yes i know sephora is expensive, i wanted to spend 20-35$ not 50-200$) so she had me try all these other products. keep in mind these products are piling up so i can’t tell which one is actually working so i started to get annoyed but i knew she was doing her job so i didn’t say anything. we finally walked over to another wall and i noticed that there was a sale so i was excited and she got me to try one of those products. i honestly loved it but i was still unsure of the price so i just said “oh! this is nice” and she immediately says “okay i’ll put it in your cart” i said “no please not yet” and the side eye i received was outrageous. i asked to confirm the price and it turned out it was not part of the sale so i pointed out the ones that were and she kinda scoffed and said “that’s not gonna do what you want it to” (i ended up getting it and it works perfectly) but i was appalled at this. i’ve never been so shocked at the terrible customer service. don’t come here unless you want to be shamed for not buying $500...
