Sun Wah Supermarket — Attraction in Winnipeg

This is a fantastic Asian grocery store which has ethnic food ingredients from a variety of different countries. The selection and price of unique produce is absolutely amazing for the size of the area. Also a wide variety of frozen meat and fish not available anywhere else.

The selection of sauces spreads and pickles is absolutely mindblowing. There are also dim sum and sushi sections for those who would like to make their own at home.

The far end of the store has some household items like dishes, cutlery, tea sets, Buddhist items, and some ingredients for Chinese...

This is the only real store chinese food store in Winnipeg. Best products but many time expired. Must carefully check every item. I highly recommend but also with reservation. Hence the tree stars. Authentic Asian restaurants do all their shopping here. However selling food that isn’t dated and other items that are a year past due date. This was my first and last time shopping here. I understand if you want to go home on time but it's your choice to work on the weekend, leave your attitude at home. I also understand that you close at 7pm even though it stated online 7:30, you don't need to remind me, "we're closing in 15 minutes," then again, "we're closed in 6 minutes" and then AGAIN, "we close in 5 minutes".
