Santiago it's a beautiful city and my partner and I love it in the summer. One of our favourite places to go is the metropolitan park, because we love to walk and enjoy the views of the city we can watch from there. But BE AWARE: one day we took a taxi on the exit of oasis cable car station and normally for a taxi to go from there to the mall Parque Arauco usually cost us less than 4.500 clp but that day it cost us more than 14.000. We notice how quick the taxi meter was charging us, then we asked the driver and he replied that he was a bandera 2 taxi which is more expensive than a normal taxi and because it was Saturday his service was even more expensive. We have decided to pay because we don't wanted any problems at all, we asked for a received and when we left the taxi and he moved away we noticed that had no registration number on the back. Please read our review and make sure you use uber or even easy taxy because it would save you money and will be safer for you. Enjoy being in Santiago because this event it's just a small bad thing of all the good things Santiago has...

Very well and organized cable car station. You can buy the ticket to ride on the cafeteria. Perhaps study the cable car map and choose your options. Can save you money. Boarding is so organized, I was impressed. Please remember that you are going really higher up, it was cold. Bring a good warm jumper. The views of Santiago are really beautiful from here. Worth the ride. Also not so expensive. I didn't get off at the first station, but continued to the top station, Cumbre. All stations have clean toilets and a cafeteria (no alcohol sold). Before I walked to the funicular, the last station have 2 local (very small outlets) selling other food and sandwiches, it is a 5 min walk down the road towards their only car park. Also the view point here gives you a great photographic opportunity. I did go down further to the sign "CHILE", but it was a 30 min walk down, then you will need to come up hill again to catch the funicular. Honestly you can give this attraction a miss. Overall experience on the cable car was a well recommended...
