I did not give this 5 stars as I feel there are a few things that need improvement. Don't get me wrong, I highly recommend staying here, if you are looking for a boutique hotel and not one of the fancy high rise chains.||One thing that was 5 star …was the staff. Terrific people. Everyone we met, whether the front desk ,late night person, spa attendant, housekeeping, everyone was very friendly and helpful. And the front desk person was very patient with all my questions.||We had one of their suites, which was nice and reasonably large and well appointed with couches, eating table, desk and large bed. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom had plenty of space. It had a bathtub shower combination. ||The room has windows on two of the sides so you get a good view from there…but the hot sun would come in and heat the place faster than the AC could cool it. As the AC wont stay on without your key in the slot near the door, we kept one there while we were gone as otherwise it would take hours to cool the place down. We also had to make sure the drapes were drawn when we left in the AM as the sun would be really hot in the afternoon. The AC is a single wall unit, which does a good job cooling the main area of the living room and bedroom, but as you walk to the desk area or bathroom, the area can be a bit hot. So they really need either a second AC unit, or better yet a central air unit. ||The main issue we had is the layout of the room, likely due to building structural elements and the building being not that big, was a bit of a maze to get around (could not even move my roller bag around without picking it up to turn sideways.) This layout was part of the issues with the AC. But also, at night, I had to leave a light on near the bathroom otherwise I would likely bump into the walls trying to go through the maze to the bathroom in the middle of the night. Without the pillars, which they cannot do anything about, you would have a terrific large open suite (not that it was not good ,but …) A similar issue with the breakfast buffet. Due to the building structure and where they have the buffet, its spread out over several rooms and nooks and crannies. That, I believe, also limited the extent of the breakfast selection. ||Wifi worked well (they had a repeater in the room. smart)||Plenty of plug outlets where you need them given all the gadgets we have these days.||The breakfast buffet was ok, but not as extensive as most places we stayed. While it had the usual assortment of breads, cereals, meats and cheeses, along with scrambled eggs and bacon or sausage, the assortment of pastries and other times was a bit lean. Part of the issue is, they don’t have a lot of space as it is and have to spread things out over several rooms. ||The location is pretty good as you are in a residential area, seemed very safe, and you are but a 5 min walk to the big Costanera Center mall, where there are tons of shops and restaurants, including a Jumbo super market. Many other restaurants in that area within a 5-10 min from the mall. ||One other issue was signage and finding the hotel. We arrived late, around 11pm. ||Since they had the gates around the hotel closed, and the hotel looked like a condo building, and at night its very hard to see the signage for the hotel (which is high up on a wall facing down the street and you cannot see it when in front of the hotel without looking up), neither we nor our taxi driver thought we had the right place. Once we got out of the taxi and buzzed the gate and came in i looked around for a sign and saw it high up on the side of the building. They really need to put a sign in front so its clear that it’s the hotel. (if they had one, I never saw it)||The website photos are a fair indication of the rooms and hotel (buffet picture seemed a bit better than it was).||The price is the key for what you are getting in comparison to staying at one of the bigger fancy hotels.||For us, the smaller boutique hotel and price fit our style.||Overall, I would highly recommend...
Read moreNice looking and modern hotel, with English speaking staff. I have stayed here several times, so I have been in multiple rooms, and every room is different from each other. Rooms are clean and most of them are big, but some others are smaller. Avoid rooms on the first (ground) floor, which are next to the kitchen and very noisy. All rooms on the front are noisy because the hotel is on a busy street, and hot in summer. Air conditioning units are old and not doing much. The last time we stayed here we had a nice suite, but the AC was in the living room and the small bedroom remained hot all night. Rooms have TVs, a coffee maker, a safe, and a hair dryer, and a retractable clothing line over the tub, in case you want to do a small round of laundry. There is also a fridge but it is full of expensive waters and cans, with no room for your own bottle of pisco sour. Beware of empty cans that the previous guests might have put back in the fridge; it would be wise to check on that immediate after check in. Also, like most hotels in Chile, not all outlets or lamps might work but rooms have plenty of 220 and 110V outlets (make sure to bring your adapters), and a nice desk to get some work done. A pretty good breakfast buffet is included in the price, with yogurts, granola, coffee, milk, (somewhat runny) scrambled eggs and sausages, meats, cheeses, bread, and a great selection of pastries. Small outside patio that is lovely to work at in the morning (afternoons pretty hot in summer). Good lap pool on the roof, and small exercise room. Very friendly and...
Read moreIt's very well located with "Metro" close by and Costanera Center a stone throw almost in front of it. The area is clean, nice and safe too. The hotel is more like a boutique hotel with many nice personal touches and nice decor. It's been taken care of. Every detail count and this hotel got plenty. Room are clean and well equipped with everything you could need, including robe and slippers. Although a main road close by, the hotel is quiet and windows are sound proof. Breakfast is abundant, great variety, nicely presented and good quality with items you can't find in other hotels such as lactose free milk. Reception team is very helpful and nice. On the top of everything is a very good value for its competitive price. The only reason I won't give 5 points is because I believe the mattresses could improve (I tried 2 rooms and both were too soft and possibly dine it's time). Apart from that, it is a very good choice and I ...
