This place has the possibilities to be one of the best restaurants in Chile but last weekend was horrible, because we were at the end of the restaurant a few tables and a bit of serve. Half the people got their meal and the other half, we had to go fishing for the waitress, but it was not her fault because there were so many people there it was crazy. The place was pretty chill at this point with just a few groups of people sitting on the bar patio and a few others in the dining area patio. We were the only ones at the bar. We had a plate of sashimi, the ceviche sampler Bao, and octopus. Everything was good and I’d order all of it again. In fact, because it’s so close to where we stay we plan to go back. The cocktails are of standard but lack any kind of sophisticated improvisation or innovation. It makes sense this place appears to appeal to finance bros- not in a pejorative way just an experience without significant departure from what is expected.
I was excited to see a boulevardier on the menu which was mixed competently. The negroni was good as well as some juicy pisco thing.
I arrived really excited and engaged but the staff seem aloof and uninspired.
