La Burguesía — Restaurant in Providencia

2 stars because service was great and beer likewise. But, here is the issue... The name is that of a burger restaurant! The menu is 80% burgers - so I had the burger called Grillada. It's beef patty, cheese (forget the name of that one), gorgonzola, bacon crumble, and some dressing of the house, and BBQ sauce. Sounds pretty powerful! I ordered it with the BBQ sauce on the side - BBQ sauce tends to drown out everything else. Oh boy... What a let down... Have a look at the ingredients list again! The place looks more like a slightly sleazy hangout/bar - not the usual more upscale setting you get in Providencia and Las Condes - crowded and noisy with music loud enough so that it's a little difficult to have a conversation. But the service is decent and friendly and the burgers are very good. They have an extensive list of creative concoctions. I had the Ají Verde that's layered with Chilean green chilis stuffed with mozzarella. Unfortunately the bottom part of the bun was soggy, which I really dislike, but otherwise it was very good. According to my husband, this is the best burger place in Chile so far.

I’m not a burger fan, so I got buffalo shrimps and chili fries instead. The buffalo sauce tasted just like what you have in the States, and it was drizzled with some blue cheese 👌🏻

The chili fries were also just like what you can have in the States too 😂 The fries did get a little soggy, but all the toppings were really good.

Our server was nice, and the service was quick during lunch time despite the fact that the place was relatively full.

The place felt like a local brewery in the South, making me miss North Carolina and...
