I recently stayed at Ascott ICC Guangzhou, expecting the high standards that come with a 5-star establishment. However, the breakfast experience was nothing short of disappointing. Having traveled extensively around the world, I have never encountered such poor-quality breakfast offerings at a supposedly luxury hotel.The food selection was shockingly limited, with only a few options available, far from what one would expect from a 5-star hotel. The quality was subpar, and to make matters worse, the plates provided were absurdly small, making it inconvenient to even enjoy the limited choices offered.For a brand like Ascott, especially at the ICC Guangzhou location, this level of breakfast service is unacceptable. It does not align with the reputation or standards expected from a high-end international hotel. Simple Wow! This property is amazing. We actually stayed in the one bedroom suite and next day in the studio suite. Both had very high end appliances and high end decor and modern furniture.

Very clean, almost like new, very spacious. Attention to details is amazing. Almost anything you think of you will find it here…plenty of wardrobe space, plenty of nooks and crannies to put stuff in. Includes shower and bathtub.

This property is a cross between a hotel and a B&B. There is a reception desk where you check in and daily room cleaning but the place has “living-in-an-apartment” like feeling. There are no restaurants or coffee shops in the property.

However, the location is great - very close to metro and malls and plenty of restaurants around.

And it is relatively cheap (almost half) as compared to other high end hotels…like Park Hyatt and Four Seasons etc.
