段純貞牛肉麵 Duan Chun Zhen x Chatime — Attraction in Hong Kong

🎈The first time I went to Duan Chun Zhen's beef noodle shop was at noon, and I felt it was just okay. The handmade noodles were a bit sticky and old, and the broth wasn't very rich.

👭However, my Taiwanese friends told me that Duan Chun Zhen is very famous in Taiwan, and they would specifically drive there to eat, so I decided to give it more chances. 💪

🌙I didn't expect that going there at night, the food was really delicious! Perhaps due to long hours of stewing, the beef became very tender, and the broth was also very rich. 😍 This time I didn't have handmade noodles, I tried thin noodles, and they were indeed good.👍

🥩However, their braised beef noodles were not spicy at all, even though there was a chili 🌶️ symbol on the menu, I couldn't taste any spiciness at all. It would be even better with more pickled vegetables. 😃

🐷I also tried the minced pork rice 🍚. The half-fat and half-lean minced pork was flavorful, not greasy, the sauce wasn't too salty, and kids...

Recently Chatime seems to have “improved” their menu by standardizing across all the stores … for the worse.

Some earlier options were taken away e.g. some drinks only served cold. My pet peeve on sugar - the “0 sugar” option is removed. Why insist that you HAVE TO add additional sugar (even though it’s not pre-mixed) and taking the choice away for health conscious customers?
