A very spacious outlet of IKEA in Shatin which attracts a lot of home furniture buyers every weekend. It is conveniently located just opposite the Shatin Railway Station and there are plenty of car parks available in the building. There are lots of commodities to choose ranging from sofa, beds, kitchen wares to garden furnitures. You can spend a day there. Try the food in IKEA canteen before you leave. Despite the outbreak of COVID, visitors to this venue remain unaltered during the past 12 months but the average prices of commodities have gone up by 9%. Prices are not too steep, and quality is so so to OK (we all know ikea is not made to last) depending on the furniture type and make. Read moreHaving paid and left the checkout to get to the car park with a very full trolley, we were told we could not leave the store (with the trolley) unless we paid either HKD600 deposit or left our HKID Card before we would be allowed to take the trolley to the car to load up. This is absolutely ridiculous and I would suggest, Ikea establish a trolley Park in the car park for customers to return their trolleys. Shame on you Ikea.
