I have a bone to pick here. I really wanted some french toast, and we asked the lady at the front if they served toast. She said no, but we saw it on the menu lol and decided to give this place a try. I tried to order online via QR code but they wouldn’t allow me to customise my french toast, because I didn’t want the pistachio crumbs. I waved one lady over; she couldn’t answer me and she directed a more senior server to me. This server was initially helpful; checking with the kitchen that the french toast also had pistachio sauce, and that if I took away the pistachio, the kitchen staff believed it would be too plain. Despite this, I continued with this order and repeated that I wanted no pistachio. He informed me this would take 20 mins, which it did. My freaking french toast came with pistachio. The original server was not here (probably off work or on break) so I wasn’t able to find him to ask what happened. I was so sad and disappointed that after all that checking and making sure my order was what I expected, it still managed...
Read moreUnbelievable quality of food and service for the price.
I've been coming to this branch of beans since 2019, and I could notice the quality of their food has declined drastically over time. Crab meat lobster bisque was too dilute and I could barely taste any lobster nor crab in it. Pizza dough was split into two layers(which of course is a premade dough that has been sitting in the freezer for ages), and above that sad piece of dough was a very thin layer of cheese. And asides from the foods, the lamp placed on the table was covered in a mixture of dust and grease. Moreover, they completely forgot about our drinks and didnt bring it to us until we were more than seventy percent done with our meal (we saw at least two teams that arrived later than us and got the exact same drinks way earlier than us). What was more disappointing than the fact that they forgot our drinks was their attitude; no apology, but just trying to cover up with excuses....
Read morePet friendly cafe in Shatin. We took our dogs here and they had a blast as there was a mini dog park right outside the cafe in the outdoor area. Excellent service and we even got to choose the scent of hand sanitizer when we first entered the cafe. There was also an unreasonable customer at the next table and I witnessed how the waiter was very patient with him which really impressed me. Food was good too and surprisingly weren’t too expensive but I suspected the portions wouldn’t be enough for a grown up man. I especially enjoyed the eggs Benedict and honestly believed it to be one of the best, if not the best, in HK. Fries were less crispy than I hoped it would be but the sauce was excellent! Lots of people (up to 12) were queuing up for a table so make sure you book a table...
