Excellent facilities with very fair service and over-enthusiastic male guests. I was celebrating my own birthday with friend in The Peninsula last week. Suite and facilities are excellent. We have deluxe harbour view suite. Seaview is gorgeous and bathtub is huge. Of course there's no problem of water flow. Gym room is nice that there are enough instruments for multiple guests to use. Swimming pool is okish, well-decorated but not wide and long enough if you really wanna Swim. CAUTION: Floor is very slippery. Wearing their slippers is a MUST. Breakfast is included and taste super nice. Although Lobby could be very noisy, at least I'm sure everyone can be very stuffed and satisfied from that. However, I have to say there are some issues on staffs. Maybe I don't look enthusiastic enough, I received no greetings from the moment of entering hotel. I had my first "Good Afternoon" after I arrived front desk by myself. At the same time, staff in front desk is actually very helpful and nice. Room tour also makes me feel warm. Then something unexpected happened. Originally my friend had requested that birthday cake and champagne would be sent by request in Whatsapp days before. But anyway they're being sent to room right after I checked in. And the male staff that send these looks not very helpful and willing to send back for us. It's also my bad that I forgot bringing my own eyemask for sleep so I called them to see if they provide it. The answer was they had no storage on that, which I'm a little bit concerned as a 5-star hotel. My friend also didn't find any hairbrush in bathroom, we called again and it's quickly sent to room. Unfortunately it broke after only one brush. Of course we asked for a new one and this time a "stronger" one was sent, which finally works with my friend's hair! At the same time, there are some enthusiastic-maybe unwanted-gaze in swimming pool and gym from JUST opinion from me and my friend. Please make sure that you smile and have a strong mind if you're visiting here as a woman. And I'm not trying to be critical here. The peninsula is overall a nice hotel if you have enough budget and wanna have a try of old-fashioned HK style. But it's not a good choice if you wanna relax as a woman and expecting 5-star service.

I really enjoyed my stay and highly recommend it to all. The check-in arrangement was seamless. We were greeted with great warmness the moment we arrived by limousine (not normal limousine, it's Rolls Royce!) The room amenities are truly state-of-the-art, with chrome cast streaming, touch panels in every possible corners, facilities like printer/scanner! It's no wonder the business travellers' favour. And no need to mention the location. I also recommend people to check out the hotel's own channels. Most people may think it is a waste of time...that's correct, most of the times, but not for the Peninsula. I don't think I truly understand the Peninsula's uniqueness (especially to HK people) until I watched the video. It tells the stories behind the scene. I like the videoclips showing the old Hong Kong, the afternoon tea dances. In one of the scenes, Kadoorie sister said in retrospect how she realised their ignorance about the extreme poverty when they were young and how they got involved in philanthropy...another videoclip is about how the hotel deals with the global/local sustainability problem. The videos are not too long, just about the time for a nice bath XDD! Oh by the way, we went there in mid-Dec, so it's very Christmasy🎄

High tea at the Peninsula was not quite what we expected. The lobby was very nice and the string music was lovely, but tea was mass produced, identical towers of tea sandwiches and scones first come, first served. That would have been alright if the service and food quality were good, but the service was the worst. We had to flag servers down to order, to get things throughout the tea and to get the check. When I signed the check, the server was in such a hurry that he tried to tear the folio and pen out of my hands while I was still trying to get my copy of the receipt out. The sweets and finger sandwiches were pretty but not overly tasty. The tea itself (particularly the Peninsula Breakfast Blend) was quite good. The scones were decent and had more of a soda bread consistency but were lacking something, perhaps salt. We noticed that a lot of people left much of their food. The prices were reasonable for the venue, about $50 USD per person for high tea, but the actual experience seems to be mainly a touristy photo opportunity.

The Peninsula Hong Kong is no doubt one of the most iconic hotels in Asia with nearly 100 years of history. Our Deluxe Courtyard Room assigned was located in the Original Building with the historical forecourt view and a glimpse of Victoria Harbour. The room was very spacious with supremely comfortable bedding and well-equipped room controls. That has been said, there were some faluts during our stay which were shocking given that it was one of the most luxurious hotels in the world: 1) the toilet water was dirty and muddy even after frushing many times 2) the USB Charger beside the bed was loose, which could be a serious safety hassle. The overall service was okay, but the F&B was a huge letdown - the breakfast, lunch, and dinner were all just average sadly. With the recent special promotions, it was also clear that the hotel has reached the maximum capacity - the lobby was packed and noisy; the swimming pool was very crowded with many kids - we could not really swim or enjoy the facility at all!

One of the best hotels in Hong Kong. Their customer service is top notch and empathetic. My partner had covid and they were willing to accommodate in rescheduling for no extra cost. We stayed there for a staycation to celebrate my partner's birthday and they upgraded us for free to a harbor view! They surprised us with a cake as well! Compliments to the staff who checked us in, she was so sweet and welcoming! I wish I had gotten her name so I could thank her for the warmest welcome. the pool and the spa/sauna were fantastic and it was perfect to swim in. Great facilities all around. The amenities in the room were modern and the lighting controls were high-tech. I really love the interior of the room, the aesthetic was so pleasing and warm that feels like Hong Kong with the gorgeous view of the harbor. It has this relaxing and cozy ambiance inside. We also tried felix and it is top notch with an impeccable view. What an unforgettable experience. Thank you so much Peninsula!

No complaints at all! Everything was just impressive from beginning till the end where they drop you at the departure check in counter. Love our experience here in The Peninsula, will definately stay here again when I'm back in Hong Kong. Rooms were spacious, staff very attentive and the restaurants were great. Amazing room service as well! As we travelled with an infant, the hotel readied a crib with their signature infant gift set to keep. There were shops there at the hotel as well to make those last minute shopping. But the hotel was really close by to all the popular shopping areas. Back for the second time! As usual it's been a great time staying in the Peninsula. That's why everytime I'm back in Hong Kong I choose to stay here. Tried their high tea and it was pretty enjoying. They still had the crib for my son as usual and we stayed in a different layout this time.
