I recently stayed at Hotel Pravo during my visit to Hong Kong and had a mixed experience. While there were some positive aspects, there were also a few drawbacks that affected my overall satisfaction with the hotel. Let's start with the positives. The modern lobby of Hotel Pravo made a great first impression. It was stylishly designed and created a welcoming atmosphere upon arrival. The rooms were also quite nice, with comfortable beds and tasteful decor. I appreciated the effort put into the room's aesthetics, as it enhanced my stay. The manager of the hotel deserves special mention for being accommodating and attentive to guests' needs. They were helpful in addressing any concerns or requests promptly, ensuring a pleasant customer service experience. Another advantage of Hotel Pravo is its fantastic location. It is situated in a convenient spot, close to various attractions and transportation options, making it easy to explore Hong Kong's vibrant cityscape. However, there were a few downsides that impacted my stay. One major issue was the lack of locks on the bathroom doors, which was quite inconvenient and uncomfortable. This privacy concern is something that the hotel should address promptly to ensure guests' comfort and peace of mind. Furthermore, there were maintenance problems in some areas of the hotel. The air-conditioning intake in my room was clogged with dust, affecting its efficiency and cleanliness. This oversight detracted from the overall experience and should be given more attention by the hotel's management. Lastly, there was an unfortunate issue with cigarette smoke permeating the hallways, resulting in an unpleasant odor. This was particularly bothersome for non-smokers, and it would be beneficial for the hotel to enforce stricter policies to maintain a smoke-free environment. While the modern lobby, nice rooms, accommodating manager, and great location are commendable, the lack of bathroom locks, maintenance problems, clogged air-conditioning intake, and cigarette smoke in the hallways were significant drawbacks. I hope the hotel takes these concerns seriously and makes the necessary improvements to provide a better experience for future guests.

DO NOT STAY HERE. SO DISGUSTING! I highly discourage anyone from staying at this hotel. The customer service is extremely poor, and once you have paid for your stay, the staff shows no further interest in assisting you. The individuals working at the front desk are extremely rude and treat you like you are begging for their help. I had booked the deluxe suite for my trip, with relatively low expectations given the hotel's modest pricing. However, the conditions were unacceptable. The room had an unpleasant odor that doesn't go away. The air conditioning was running at low power no matter what you set it to, so everything felt moist all the time. The room was stained everywhere, and every surface was littered with dirt and dust. It was disgusting. One of the night, I returned to the hotel without my husband who had the room. Due to cost, they will only provide you one room key at checkin no matter what type of room you book. Given that my name was on the booking, I thought it would be a simple matter to request a second key with my identification. They then told me if I wanted a second one, I will need to pay $50 deposit. Okay fine, if that's the policy, I'll satisfy their requirement. I asked if they can charge the deposit on my card on file. They responded no, it must be in cash and it must be exactly $50, as they will not provide change. I only had $500 bill on me, so they told me there is nothing they can do, and that I will just have to be stranded outside the hotel. Fine, rules are rules. So I went out to get change by buying a drink at the convenient store nearby. What I am upset about isn't their policy, but their attitude and how disrespectful they were, especially the girl that was sitting at the back. She made me feel like I was begging for their help and that they were mad I even asked.

I stayed at Hotel Pravo in April 2023 for 3 nights. After the past mixed reviews I was not sure what to expect as there have been both great and very poor reviews. From my experience there I can say the following: The location is really great and at the price that I paid I think that it would be hard to beat. 5 min walk from star ferry, right next to a mall, MTR station and Nathan road. The hotel certainly does need a bit of maintenance (or at least a good repainting) especially in the passages and lobby. The hotel gives the impression that it was an upmarket, chic boutique hotel a few years ago but has grown a little tired since then. My room was generally ok. Quite small (as you can expect for HK) but very well thought out and it never felt cramped. The room was generally well cleaned and comfortable but one downside was that it was extremely noisy due to the hotel’s location in a very busy part of town. I recommend bringing earplugs or earphones for a good nights sleep (I slept with my airpods which worked great to drown out the noise). There is also mention of a free minibar in some other reviews - the fridge in my room was empty and there was nothing like this during my stay, so ask ahead if this is important to you. Even though I don’t speak a word of Cantonese or Mandarin I found the reception staff to be very helpful and they even assisted me when I had to make a flight change and the airline had to phone the hotel to get hold of me. One hidden gem that I only discovered on the last night of my stay was the rooftop terrace. It’s just been renovated, has a great view and is a great place to hang out and relax. It even has a good view of HK island, so you can avoid the crowds and watch the light show from there! All things considered, I had a good experience and would definitely return.

Would not recommend this place. If I had the option to give the services and the staff 0/5 stars I would. Its ashame as the rooms themselves were decent. But the staff, seems like they don't even know the basics of hospitality or maybe just racist. The check-in experience was not welcoming at all and they the staff seemed not so experienced, the lady handling us had no idea what she was doing and asked us to wait for 20 mins for no reason. It was odd as we booked a week in advance and checked in later than their policy timings. Thankfully someone else was there to help us check in fast. Both of them had a grumpy and unbothered face (you could see it through their mask). They only offered us one key and refused to give us another key for the room. Which for us didn't make sense!! If there are 2 people living in the room, we should get 2 keys. And we needed this as both of us had different parties to attend in the evening. The 2 staff asked us to talk to the manager who was not available. The wait was such a waste of time and we never got a spare key.As if that was not enough, we got the cold looks and rolled eyes from them when we stepped down for dinner and as we headed to do our own things. The lack of keys created an issue for us later on. As it kept me locked out of the hotel till 6am since the policies are that the entrance doors are locked from 12am to 6am. My partner had the keys and he was asleep in the room with his phone in silent. I knocked on the hotel door at 6.01am asking the person at the reception (jason) to let me in, I was welcomed in the hotel with so much attitude, where Jason reminded me of the hotel policies where the hotels are locked till 12am to 6am, and was asked to disturb my partner at 6am to come down to pick me up. This would not have been so difficult if they would have given us an extra key. When i challenged him and told him that its 6.01am and the door should open automatically, he faced his back on me and walked back to his seat. I asked to speak to the manager, and I was informed by jason that there is no manager. Strange as just a while back we were told that there was a manager. Check out experience was not pleasant and took longer than expected. The person managing us left us several times to help his staff who did not know what she was doing. I am so disappointed with the staff and would never recommend this...
